This is an "alpha" release, in other words it is only intended to give
players a general idea of what the finished product will be like.
We felt this was necessary because so much has changed since the last
preview release.

The Story
---------

You are one of four test pilots for Steel Shank Tactical Systems (SSTS),
a freelance military contractor that develops Java based nuclear,
chemical and biological weapons.

Something has gone terribly wrong at a secret military base called Area
51-B. An army of experimental robot soldiers - infected by something
called the "Ares Virus" - turned on their human masters during a routine
feild test.

There were no survivors.

None of the machines have crossed the fortified perimeter of Area 51-B, so your
company has been given an opportunity to prove it's latest technology by
neutralizing the situation quietly before it causes global panic.

Characters
----------

There are 5 skins included in this preview.
None of them have different abilities yet.

Monsters
--------

Enforcer: basically the same as a Quake enforcer with a new model
Sentry: Red robots that shoot rockets at long range
Mech: These robots have 3 different attacks used at different ranges

CyberDawn Preview Release 4 contained many re-skinned regular Quake
monsters and gibs that fit well with the CyberDawn theme.

Those models are not included in this version. To use the old
CyberDawn monsters, get cdawn4.zip and ....

Power-Ups
---------

invisibility - this helmet makes you invisible for a short period of time
(but the helmet itself does not become invisible)
model by Kyle Overby (roberby@startext.net)

antigravity disk - allows you to fly until it becomes unstable and dissapears

3 weapons are available in this preview: Your armored fists (and your feet!)
A "plasma torch" (a blade of ionized gas contained in a magnetic feild) and
the "uni-gun" which currently has 4 modes:

	- shanks (metal spikes fired at very high velocity)
	- acid (fired in a rapid series of squirts)
	- adaptive bio-missiles (explosive engineered organisms)
	- particle beam (emits a beam of radioactive particles)

The rate of fire for these weapons is approx. 20 rounds per second,
twice as fast as the old cyberdawn weapons.
