A dedicated QWar2Net arena map - by falkon2

This map is one big arena by itself

To use, put it in the directory /quake2/qwar2net/maps
and run it by typing "map qw2f_1" in the console
while running the QWar2Net patch.

Arena Description: The Battle Barricade
In short, this arena can be described as two small bases, two side rooms and
a big central room divided by a small barrier, all connected by corridors.
(see included image file for a rough sketch of the whole map). There are a lot
of cells in the central room, and some cells in the two side rooms. The power
cores are protected by walls, and can usually be attacked only after the base
has been cleared of enemy defenders.

Please note that units bigger than the gladiator can NOT walk down the ramp
where your power core is... this it to prevent people from using them..
(i JUST HATE getting blown up by a big ass bunch of commanders). Gladiators,
however, can still get down by jumping.

If you know how to use 'qwflags', you can mess around with how many cells there
are in the map..
QWF_WEPCELL (+2) adds a cell box each in the bases
QWF_AMMOCELL (+4) adds a cell box each in the side rooms

HINTS AND TIPS:
The best way to get a head start on your opponent is to build a flyer quickly
and hop over to his side of the central room so that you can swipe his cells :).
Defence plays an important role in this map, and though i wont tell you the
most efficient means of defense, I'm quite sure you'll be able to find out
the best places for barricades and 'pillboxes' after playing this map for a
while. What i WILL tell you, however, is to defend with some units that use
instant-hit weapons (machine gun, shotgun, railgun) because this arena is
relatively big and units tend to move around quite a bit more.
Also, you can use the mutant's super jump to clear the barrier in the central
room. As usual, though, i wont tell you exactly how to do that - you have
to find out on your own :)

HAVE FUN!!
