Additional Information

This level was designed for a speedrun contest at
Mineral's homepage: <http://www.planetquake.com/sda/mineral>

We (Ilkka & me) wanted to make a little episode for Quake,
which has some maps designed for speedrunning. This map and
QuakeC modification was made for that episode. Unfortunately
I had no time to make more than one map. So, I modified and
released it for a speedrun contest. The sum of the story
(of the original episode, too) is: Steal the BFG from CSA Corporation.

Features of the new QuakeC code:
-New weapons: Lasergun and BFG
 The Lasergun works and looks like the Super Nailgun.
 The BFG works this way: enemies that are visible from the
 point of explosion (and within range) are counted. The one who
 launched the ball is not counted. All the counted monsters
 get hurt equally:
 1 counted monster: it loses 1000 health points
 2 counted monsters: each loses 500 health points
 3 counted monsters: each loses 333 health points
 ...

 Tips: Shoot the floor or ceiling of a room, or wall of a
 corridor to kill quickly/effectively.
 If an enemy shoots (in Deathmatch), go behind a wall, if you are not
 visible from the point of explosion, you won't get hurt.
 The ball flies quite slowly.

-New enemies: Turrets and grunts with different weapons
 They can have laserguns, nailguns, rockets, and there's
 a turret with BFG! Every kind of monsters can have
 different health points (e.g some grunts can't be killed
 by a single SSG shot, or even with a rocket!)

-Destroyable walls
 Not all of the walls are destroyable, only a few...

-Digital clock
 The display of tenths in the big room can be inaccurate
 if you spend too much time in the map.

-Security lasers
 Don't touch them. Turn them off. BTW the monsters often
 touch security lasers and die :)

-Lock
 These are panels near doors. Touch them if you got the
 right key to open the door.

-Features of QdQstats
 Exact exiting time, genocide (impulse 205), grenade
 counter (impulse 210)

-Secret Item :)
 It is somewhere in the map.

Installation

To play this level, extract the file "pak0.pak" into
a Quake subdirectory (e.g. Quake/CSA) and then start the game
like this:

quake -game csa

Then type "MAP CSA" to begin.
