---------- What's this file about ? ----------

The file mexx3-8.dat includes the new VIS data to convert the levels
mexx3-8 for use with transparent water in GlQuake.
In order to patch the levels, you need the program VISPATCH, which
can be obtained from
http://razor.stomped.com/water

---------- How to patch ----------

In order to patch the levels mexx3 to mexx7, which come in bsp-files,
simply put the mexx3-8.dat and vispatch.exe file into one directory
with the levels and enter

        vispatch *.bsp -data mexx3-8.dat

This will patch all mexx-levels that will be found in the directory.
(Other levels in the same directory will be ignored - no need to
remove them first)
Notice that the old levels will be overwritten with the new version.
If you just want to patch a single level, use

        vispatch FILENAME -data mexx3-8.dat

where FILENAME is the full name of the level, for example
"vispatch mexx6.bsp -data mexx3-8.dat".

To patch mexx8, which comes in a pak-file, put the file mexx3-8.dat and
vispatch.exe into one directory with the pak0.pak from mexx8.zip and enter

        vispatch pak0.pak -data mexx3-8.dat

This will update both mexx8-levels. Again, the old file will be overwritten
with the new version.

The new versions of the levels can be used as usual. To activate transparent
water in GlQuake, simply enter "r_wateralpha 0.3" from the console.

---------- More stuff 'n' info ----------
There's no new VIS data for mexx1 or mexx2 included. The reason for this
is that mexx2 hasn't got teleporters or water textures, therefore there
wouldn't be any change. Regarding mexx1, I don't have to the time to
fully reVIS it (the first attempt wasn't finished after 3 days (!)).
Furthermore, as it's simply one big open room, VIS wouldn't be able to
optimize it much. (If you really want it, you can still simulate transparent
water by entering "novis 1" & "r_wateralpha 0.3" from the console).
However, if anybody else with enough CPU power wants to do it, feel free
to do so (email me when finished :)

If you got problems using the patch, have comments etc, you can email
