Quake 2 (it should work with Quake 1, too)

---Installation---

QLIFF requires the Borland Database Engine (BDE) which has to
be installed on your system if you want to run QLIFF. The BDE
can be downloaded from http://qliff.iscool.net (bde.zip)

Unzip this ZIP into a folder of your choice. The ZIP contains
these files:

QLIFF.exe
maps.DB
maps.FAM
maps.MB
maps.PX
maps.TV
maps.VAL
nopic.jpg

After the first start of QLIFF the Configuration-Window will
appear. Fill out the form and press the "Okay" - Button. The
informations you made will be saved in the konfig.ini .

---First Informations---

QLIFF is a Database-System for the management of Quake -
Multiplayermaps. The Q2-Standardmaps and the ThreewaveCTF-Maps
are already included in the Database.

We tried to make the programm as intuitive as possible
in its use.
All buttons use ToolTips - just move over them with your mouse
to see what happens if you use them.

To enter new data, just press the "Enter New Data"- Button.
If you want to enter a new screenshot, do as described in the
following lines.
1. Open PaintShopPro or another program who is able to work
   with pictures.
2. Open the Screenshot you just made in Q2.
3. Change the name of the screenshot (usually something like
"Quake00x.tga")into the filename of the map you just played.
Save the screenshot as "filename.jpg". It is absolutely
necessary that you choose the .jpg-format!!
For example: If you took the shot in the "Outer Base"-Map,
your screenshot should be named as base1.jpg.
5. Copy this brand new file into the "Screens" - Folder in
QLIFF. If this folder does not exist, dont start to cry -
   create it.
6. Thats it. QLIFF will automatically show you the new
screenshot when you create a new entry - if the filename
of this entry is the same as the one of the screenshot.

NOTE: The screenshots for the included maps can be downloaded
      in a ZIP-File from http://qliff.isCool.net .

---Disclaimer---
