Map: The Bedroom
Compile utilities: QuArK and Q2 Beaver
Other stuff: Sky Paint, MS Paint, Wally, Sound recorder
Players: I fit 29 bots in here and still had plently of room...
Total size: With all the textures and sounds, I think it comes to about 4 MB
Finished: 3:30 PM, 9/17/99
Estimated time spent/wasted: Probably 3-4 hours working on the map, 2 hours playing unfinished
versions =) and around 3 hours wasted on compiling and about 45 minutes typing this.

--PLEASE READ EVERYTHING (You don't have to read the story and maybe the notes) THERE'S IMPORTANT STUFF AFTER THE STORY AND NOTES--

How to Install: It would have been alot easier if I new how to include subfolders, but I don't,
so pay attention. Extract all the .wavs (sounds) to baseq2/sound/misc/
You should find the baseq2 folder in your Quake 2 directory.
Next, extract the .wals (textures) to baseq2/textures/
Then, extract the .pcx and .tga's (sky) into baseq2/env
Lastly, extract the bigroom.bsp into baseq2/maps/ I really don't care what you do with this,
but if you pass this around (Please do!), include this file. Gotta give credit where credit's
due, right?

Notes:
Ok, this is my favorite map, and it's brand new. I used almost all custom textures and
sounds. This map was designed for a server playing with infinite ammo and no falling damage.
Of course, playing without these only make it more exciting. If you're wondering why I put
in the carpet (you'll see when you play), it's impossible for the player to see grenades and
rockets under the carpet. If it doesn't sound fun, it is. I also scattered health along the
ground, so you'll just have to search around (don't look to hard, there's only about 5). One
last thing about the carpet: you can't see most of the DM spawns. This prevents camping (in a
map like this, I don't think you could anyway). In case you were wondering, your player is about
the size of an ant (I wanted it to be like an action figure but I goofed in the beginning).I've
put two of each weapon (except the BFG, HyperBlaster, and Chaingun)in the room but only one
Railgun. I've put in a lot of hidden stuff, and I tried to make the room as interactive as
possible (I'm not giving anything away, you'll have to find it). If the textures look kind of
cheesey, you'll have to undestand that I'm not really good with paint programs. Hmm.. anything
else...? Oh yeah, two things. It's yarn. You'll know what I'm talking about when you get in the
map. Lastly, If you wanna play, just e-mail me (see bottom) I finally have a cable modem, but
noone to play my maps with. Also, soon I'll have a website up. You can get my other maps and
stuff. There! I'm done rambling =)

Story:
When the boys are away, the toys will play... After the battle of Stroggos, the money
ripping toy company, Katel, decided they would start making action figures out of the brave
heroes that fought for our planet and freedom. This was a good decision, as the toys are wilddly
popular. Complete with weapons and all. Now lets get away from the human world, and into the toy
world. Toys are alive. that's right, they can see everything you do. Now, let's get even more
specific. Little Jonny Dillan's house. It's his tenth birthday, and he's just received a couple
of the hottest, newest toys on the planet: The Quake Marines. It's the after party party, and
the kids are all outside playing, while poor Jonny's mommy (hehe) is stuck vacumming and
cleaning up after the kids. This seems pretty typical, but it isn't... Inside Jonny's room,
are these new wonders... the Quake Marines... The other toys don't know what to say or do... But
the Marines have other plans. It turns out that these marines have a very bad attitude towards
others. They start to wreak havoc upon the other toys, and themselves. Most of Jonny's old toys
run away, but some stay to fight (if you have different models like the Penguin or the Astro
models). The party's only begun my friends, and what a party it is....

Corny, I know, but oh well

Future:
I might add ammo or something, but that's it. If enough people like this, I might do
another one with a different design.
