Description : Three different Lum skins for the Q3 Conni model. All of these skins are based on the wonderful "Lum" character from the Japanese manga and anime of the same name "Urusei Yatsura" which is most commonly translated as "Those Obnoxious Aliens".

This is the first of the lightning slinging anime characters and not only is she ten times cuter than Pikachu but her "Divine Retribution" is a hell of a lot more likely to leave you a blackend husk instead of Pikachu's thundershock. Its the loveable and more than slightly shocking alien, oni Lum.

I will not go into all the details of the UY series as it would make an already long readme even longer. Basically it entails the trials and tribulations of an alien girl who falls in love with a lecherous earth boy who has no intentions of settling down with a single girl, especially if this girl happens to be a blue haired alien princess.

I started these skins out as a basic idea "what if Conni was dressed like Lum?" and then it basically snowballed "what if Conni had hair like Lum?" and finally "what if Conni was Lum?" The Conni model is an excellent example of the ideal representation of the female form and the fact that it has an excellent nude base to work with is another plus. Conni and Lum actually have quite a bit in common figure wise so this model was a great choice based on those considerations. But
to be quite honest this model was not ideal for a Lum skin due to the fact that the bangs of the hair are not quite the same as Lums, the stilleto heals, and the fact that Conni doesn't have horns. For this reason this skin has set around on my hard drive for well over a month now. About two weeks ago I started playing around with the skins again and tried to tweak them for ingame play. All of the skins included are based on images and situations from Urusei Yatsura posters, "pencil boards", and "idol cards" some of which I own - the rest came from the net, the tomobiki site in particular.

Overall I was fairly please with the final results and decided to submit these skins to Polycount. Yeah I know its just another bikini skin for a model that seems to be plagued by them but I think if you give it a try you might be pleased.

			Here are the skin descriptions....

			q3skn-lum
			- This is Lum wearing her standard tiger striped bikini, I used the alpha channel to get rid of the spiked heel and it worked out fairly well.

			q3skn-lum-hunter
			- This is a variation of her standard bikini based on an image from a pencil board. The boots are higher, added wristbands, and the skin tone is not quite as pale.

			q3skn-lum-showgirl
			- This is another poster/pencil board that had Lum dressed in a showgirl/magician's assistant type costume.

This model also includes bot support for all three skins although they all use the same bot files.

			- And especially thanks again to all the crazy folks at ID for making another great game.

Thanks to : Any and everyone who bothered to read this fairly lengthy README file.

Special thanks to	: The 70's for being over. =====================================================================================* Construction *Base	: The default nude skin of the Conni model
Editor used : Paint Shop Pro 6 <= almost exclusively
Adobe Photoshop 4.0 LE <= odds and ends
Java MD3 Model Viewer <= Not as good as NSP skin painter Known Bugs : Don't know of any off hand, but it sure helps if you have installed the Conni model;)
Build/Animation time : Dunno for sure, on and off for around two weeks maybe? If I had stuck to it instead of fiddling around it would have took considerably less.

* How to use this accessory *

Copy the q3skn-lum.pk3, q3skn-lum-hunter.pk3, or q3skn-lum-showgirl file into your baseq3 directory. Start Q3 and look in the Conni section of the player setup for icons of a big eyed, blue haired girl wearing a tiger striped bikini.
Click on which ever Lum suits you best and then frag away.

Lum can be selected as a bot in case you would rather be killed by blue haired aliens. This was my first crack at playing botfiles so I decided to base it on Hunter's bot file since she and Lum have the love of lightning in common. I tried to edit the botfiles to come up with something new and think I was fairly sucessful although if Lum says something out of character its because it was late and I missed something in the bot chat file.

NOTE: If you are like me, and some of you must be, you like to unzip all of the pak files in your baseq3 folder. If you do you will notice that the lum.bot file and the individual bot files are all the same for all three pak files. Yes that is correct when WinZip or your unzipping tool of choice asks you if you want to overwrite those files just click yes. Yeah, yeah I was lazy and didn't give the three skins different bot personalities, but they just the same person with different clothes so sue me.
