Description : A Quake 2 plug in player model (PPM) of my wife's
			  favourite knitted soft toy sheep.

This is Renaldo's 2nd incarnation in a PC game.

			  I'd previously created a Renaldo (sheep)skin for
the original Quake player.mdl (plus head and
assorted body gibs). I used to load it up with
the good old fashioned Reaper Bot and have a
grand time being hammered by a flock of really
violent sheep. ...or if I'd felt more like playing
the 'gentleman's' game I'd load up the Zeus Bot and
Renaldo and I would cruise around the dank world of
ancient castles in a haunted dimension knocking the
living daylights out of unsavoury ghoulie-bears
			  and and halitosis charged booger-boys.

Now Renaldo is back for more fun and games in Quake 2.

This time 'round he he's brought along his favourite
tool of persuasion: the Quake Rocket Launcher. It comes
emblazoned with his favourite motto inspired by the
band Scatterbrain, "DON'T CALL ME DUDE". I chose to
give him this weapon as a default weapon.md2 as a logical
succession from the Reaper Bot days when Renaldo would
appear from around a corner and plant a rocket in my
face. Nice one, Dude. It always was his favorite
weapon; and now it's his for keeps.

Tools used : Quake2 Modeller
                          Npherno's Skin Tool (NST)
			  Oh...and a cruddy file management/operating system thingy
called Windows 95. Bleah! (Gotta love the Bill Gates PPM!)

V-wep support : No. I still gotta learn how to apply it.

Use with Eraser Bot	: It should come as no surprise to you that I use
Renaldo as a sparing partner/team mate with the Eraser
Bot patch. It's a great way to playtest your own stuff,
too. Here's my preferred bots.cfg settings:

			  "Renaldo" "renaldo/renaldo" 5 3 5 7 1 0 250

			  "Team_Renaldo" "TR" "renaldo/renaldo" ["Renaldo"]

Don't make any sheep jokes; Coz, he don't like 'em.

                          NPherno for NST

PlanetQuake for all the useful info, models, tools
and stuff that made this possible for me to do.

Richard "GiB" Clark. Dunno who this fella is,
but I gotta thank him for his sheep PPM. I've
used some of his sheep.wav's coz they were the
easiest I could find at the time.

...And all the other people out there whose stuff
I've downloaded and been inspired by.

id software fer makin' another great game.

Of course, Renaldo, for standing around on
my PC case for uncountable hours posing for his
			  portrait. Bless his international celebrity
(it's true!) fleece. At long last Frances can
			  have him back.

Known bugs : Renaldo doesn't have any bugs. He gets bathed
			  regularly.

Build Time : This has taken me more time than I really care to
think about. I've never done any 3D modelling
of this kind before (OK, OK so I've created my
own Doom wads and Quake levels - but they're
different). I don't know how many hours this has
taken me to complete. Most of it was learning
curve stuff. A good tutorial would've helped but
I could find none. Having mucked around with Quake
and understanding how it worked helped a lot.

Animation : All 190+ frames have been animated. Renaldo uses
all standard moves plus salute, taunt, wave, point
			  and flip sequences.

Skins : I've only given Renaldo his default skin which may
not be too inspired but at least it's authentic.
Later I may construct a pair of CTF skins and maybe a
few others; but wot you get now is a basic sheep (white
body, black legs and a pair of 'glass' eyes - this
model is based on a loved soft toy, remember).
