Place the UVbitmap.dlu cliboard file in your Plugins folder within your Max directory.  Access it thru the utility panel as UVClipboard.

Its pretty hard to screw this one up.  But just so you know, it copies the unwrapped texture coordinates of the selected mesh to the windows clipboard.  You can paste it into a graphics program and save it to whatever format you like and use it as a skin template.
