Installation

Place the DM-TimeRift.unr file in your \UnrealTournament\maps directory.
Place the TimeRiftFX.utx file in your \UnrealTournament\textures directory.

Author's Notes

This was a testing facility for kinetic phenomena. Something went horribly wrong when 
the main EMF generators were activated, the whole center tore out of the ground, and 
warped into it's own time rift! Floating in nullspace, it is a silent testament to the 
arrogance of science. As you warp in from the screaming quantum flux surrounding this 
"island" you can't help but wonder if you'll ever escape yourself.

Playing Notes:

Jumping from the top of the tower is suicidal -- I did try to modify this with a lower
gravity zone, but then all the jumpads would have to be recalibrated or eliminated. 
(Not something I really wanted to do.) Also, it would affect gameplay adversely as you 
would not really need to be on the ground. I wanted something where you had to be more
careful as you ascended the tower -- and the payoff is of course the ONLY rocketlauncher
in the level. The bots are wicked, but I couldn't make pathnodes work sufficiently on 
the narrow spiral path winding to the top. Perhaps that is to your advantage, as they are
quite deadly elsewhere -- and they are not afraid of using the jumpads. Finally, it is
easy for an accomplished player (I suggest Turbo Mode for the air control.) to maneuver
using the jumpads to areas not originally intended. If you are sufficiently skilled, you 
can also bounce from large pad to the other side and bounce back in a large parabola,
which is excellent for launching arial Z-based attacks.
