The Map: Bob Fragster came into some money and bought up land that used to belong to the city.
First on his agenda was to build a massive fence to keep out the undesirables who liked to sleep
in the bus stop shelter. Other plans include a swimming pool beside the house and a shuffleboard
court across the street where the phone booth and the bus stop now sits. But Bob is a miserly old
coot, and his workers are tired of working for minimum wage. The next thing you know, Bob has
his hands full of fraggin' fools who want nothing more than to see Bob served up chunky
style.

Features: Windows break out, then come back after one minute. There is a sniper rifle on the
roof and jump boots to get up there. A good running start and a leap from the road, and you'll
be on the roof. There are not a lot of ammo pickups on the map. I did this for a reason: namely,
to keep the dominating people in check. If you want some ammo, you'll have to work for it. Same
goes for the shield belt, amplifier, and armor. You wouldn't want it too easy, would you? An
elevator for the upper floor of the house was removed to make the game flow better; Transporters
now do the job much better. Health is placed here and there, but you'll have to work for this
too. You won't have time to get too comfy.

History: This map started as a death match map for Unreal. I became bored with the map half way
into its completion and left it unfinished. After recently purchasing Unreal Tournament, I
resumed the map and completed it on April 1, 2000. The map is actually a big let-down: I
initially had planned for a neighborhood of houses where everybody was at war with one another.
But this was changed to two families fighting: one who was poor, and one with money. That map
was finished, but runs too slow on my machine, so I chopped out the other neighbor. This final
map is approximately a quarter of the size of the initial envisioned map. I do have the larger
map with the poor neighbors if anyone wants this emailed to them. But be forewarned: you need
a fast machine to run it, i.e., 600 Mhz or better. Although the map never saw its grandiose
unveiling, it still is a nice idea and a nice little map for fragging. I play it with 8 bots,
and they keep me plenty busy.

Errors: Somewhere along the line, I must have used a texture from a file named Air1. The same
texture in Air1 is also in the file called Hood. But I can't pinpoint the brush that uses the
Air1 texture, so I had to include it. If I delete Air1 from the texture directory, the game
will not load.

NOTE: This game runs slow on my machine until I have ran around the map and viewed all the
textures. After that, the lag is not real bad. This map has been tested on my 350 AMD K-6 II
with 3D NOW! 64 meg RAM, Voodoo II 20 meg video RAM (total), and an Intel 300 PII, 96 meg RAM,
Voodoo Banshee 16 meg. This level HAS NOT been tested in gameplay with Internet multiplayer,
but I assume a cable connection and fast machines would need to be utilized.

Installation: DM-Neighborhood_Dispute goes in the Unreal Tournament maps directory. Air1 and
Hood go in the Unreal Tournament textures directory.
