Description :

For generations, an uneasy peace reigned on the world of K'abreal. After a hundred years of warfare that resulted in stalemate and countless dead, the two clans of K'abreal agreed to peace. The K'abluae and the K'arayd (which translate roughly into Blue and Red in Intergalactic Common) had been evenly matched and neither side had been able to gain the advantage.

When the Liandri Corporation came upon the planet they saw a great opportunity for conflict. Seeing the primitive nature of the two peoples, Liandri secretly gave a large supply of weapons to the K'arayd, who promptly attacked the K'abluae and nearly destroyed them. In their ignorance of the terrible power at their disposal they decimated the Great Oak; their sacred Tree of Life.

But one night, a young K'abluae scout, watching from the boughs of the sacred Great Oak, saw where the K'arayd hid their new, unnatural weapons. So, when the vile K'arayd warriors retreated back into the darkness, the scout crept forward and stole the hidden cache.

Now, with the weapons of Liandri, the K'abluae have the chance to change the tide of the battle and prevent their extinction. By the Great Oak there shall be a reckoning!

Author's Notes
--------------

2.0 Much better botpathing with bots utilizing all routes to the flag. They still prefer the straight, quick path o' death but they will use the other routes.

I guess when level designer newbies dream, they dream big. This level is HUGE. It also went through many variations until it settled into it's current incarnation. Each side has their requisite base, with the Blue base showing some signs of their losing battle. Separating the two bases, high above, is what remains of the Sacred Great Oak...a splintered tree held together by walkways and chains.
