Level was created on AMD-K6II-400 and tested, with 3DFX V3-2000 (I have TNT1 also) Lower end machines viewing this may get a performance hit, but enjoy anyway!

SkaarjAttack is an effort to make use of the Unreal models in Unreal Tournament
and create an assault styled game.

Storyline....
The Skaarj have created a new and advanced ship and are forging ahead into new territories looking for domination over planetary races. Earth is victimized as one of it's targets, but the capable humans are out for veangeance and support for their newly realized Tournament Battles. As a real test for their competitors, the Liandri Board has quickly organized a Tournament Battle against the Skaarj.
2 Teams must make the effort to defeat the Skaarj, and the first to defeat the Skaarj
wins the match. In light of this, this creates a 3 way battle, Reds vs. Blues Vs Skaarj. The winner of the match will have improved bargaining with the Liandri Board.
The teams are delivered to the Skaarj Ship in LifePods hauled by FighterTugs.
Teleporters are aimed into the ship but it is not known how or where they are aimed, as as scanners cannot penetrate the hull of the ship, and it is unknown if the teleport will even be successful, enter at your own risk.
Little is know about the Skaarj, the only info the Liandri Board has comes from a prisoner being sent to a prison moon whose ship crash landed on the planet Na Pali.
The whereabouts of the prisoner is unknown after being sent back to the Na Pali surface after being discovered in a Skaarj spacecraft above the planet.

The Map....

There are no special textures, SFX or music, all comes from Unreal Tournament.
There is really only one goal, that is to defeat the Skaarj.
There are however, as a neccessity, fortstandards in use to aid the Bots to use the map.
***** THIS IS A PLAYERS MAP. BOTS ARE SUPPORTED BUT CANNOT DEFEAT THE SKAARJ ****
I have one word to describe this map, INTENSITY. Some of the Skaarj are designed TOUGH. Expect a serious battle. I will not reveal secrets in this readme, this is a map to be played, learned and discovered.

This map encourages Team play, communicate with your teammates.

I made compromises in design of this map because of the fortstandard design, if it
did not use bots some features would be different.

I made the decision not to try to have the bots reach the finalfort,
it is very inaccessible, and Contest deadlines cut short development.
I will watch evaluations of this map and modify later (hence the MSU tag on the name)
Also for technical reasons, the Bots and Skaarj characters will not automatically attack each other. But the Skaarj will attack the players. Noooo problem there!!!

The Bonus Pack became available during development, I decided against any possible
Bonus Pak features, I will recommend NOT using them for this map. But if any player wants to be a Skaarj Hybrid, or Nali or NaliCow, that will be interesting.

The Game time limit is set to 60 minutes, I played a single player with one bot and 30 minutes was too short.

Enjoy!

Known Bugs
--------
BSP cuts (known) are fixed now, it plays the way intended.

I am aware of some texture alignments, I worked out many, but after looking at the texture I used, and where it is, it didnt matter, not to me.
Call me the Picasso of map making <wink>
There is one point in the map where I tested some BioRifle ammo and the weapon, but I deleted it, but its ghost seems to be lingering, you might run into it wondering "what was that!" I did a selectall and copy to a new map the entire level and the ghost was still there. To fix this little biddee I will have to completly copy piece by piece the entire level but time constrainst disallow it. It doesn't hamper play at ALL.

General Comments....
Getting the Unreal1 models to work requires setting bAlwaysRelevant and bGameRelevant to true. They wouldnt appear otherwise.
The level makes great use of the Cylinder features. I started to use the curved staircase to make ramps but excessive use created bad BSP cuts.
I deleted a ramp and used a teleport in its place, I think the teleports added to the
level's "mystery".
BTW, I did some Skaarj Tweaking, beware!

If you have problems with this or comments, email ME!, not GT or Epic.
Enjoy! again
