Level Name : Ether (DMether.unr)

Single Player : No
Cooperative : No
Deathmatch : Yes (It's a large level that's I recommend 8-12 players)
Dark Match : No
Difficulty Settings : No
New Sounds : Yes
New Graphics : Yes
Known bugs : The level still requires the DexFT.u files, even though I've
: removed all of the flamethrowers and flame ammo.
: Fixed previous online "face" bug. The bots have
: problems sometimes, once you see the layout of the level then
: you'll know why! This map is really meant for live competition,
: and is a blast with human opponents.

Installation
------------
Unzip the the files. Place them into your directories under the unreal
directory: the .unr file goes into the MAPS folder, the .utx files go into the TEXTURES
folder, the .uax file goes into the SOUNDS folder, and the .u file goes into the SYSTEM
   folder.

Author's Notes
--------------
Oh, where to start... this level is a small part of the huge level DMDeity, which I will
eventually get out someday, if a computer could actually run it all! For now, I broke it
up into little levels, all of which are quite different, and with some modifications, run
quite nicely all by themselves.
As with all my levels, my original vision differs a bit from the final product. I had
envisioned a level high up in the air, with little catwalks with railing connected to a
huge power generator, surrounded by energy bolts and ice. Things changed a bit... and there
was still a few things I would've liked to have added, but either got too scary or else
wasn't possible to do with the way I set up the level- such as occasional appearing deity
faces all around the sky, complete with laughter. Since I already used ambient zone light
and special lighting, there wasn't a good way to make the faces appear and disappear.
Actually, there IS a way, which I use in DMCenobite, but it just wasn't necessary to do so
here. In any case, lots of little things like that.
And as in all of my levels, there's plenty of secrets to be had! Don't get caught lingering
though...
Also, strangely, this level still requires deitytex.utx even though I don't believe it uses
any textures from there. It's no biggie though; even if you use DmDeity, the texture will
not change. If you DO use DMDeity, I suggest you use the deitytex.utx file from that level,
since it will be more complete.
There are a few elements that I would've liked to change, but the BSP didn't seem to agree
with me. It mainly has to do with the skybox. Hopefully you'll get so involved in play
you'll never notice the problems I speak of... and I won't mention them here :) I also
repeated quite a few lightning textures (can you believe there are only 4?) so as to keep
excess texture usage low. I imagine that all the animation will take enough of a toll as
it is.

GIVE ME FEEDBACK! I want to know what people like, what they don't like, how it runs,
weapon placement, suggestions, etc. I really do listen and adapt levels to what people
like!

Changes
-------

Changes from the beta version:
1. Changed pathnodes a bit to help bots a bit... they still get wacky in some places tho
2. Added four secret areas
3. Added sounds for elevator, ambient sounds, voices
4. Minor item changes.

Changes from version 1.0:
1. Added a lot of background scenery, divided outer areas into seperate zones. I hope
the scenery does not slow things down too much.

Changes from version 1.1:
1. Discovered freaky bug that ONLY appeared when playing online! The "face" would
always remain lit, and a torch icon was visible. These have been fixed (I hope!)
2. Removed flamethrower and it's ammo. Decided that I should optimize the level for
speed a bit more, and this can really slow it down when in use. The level still requires
the DexFT.u file to run... annoying.
3. Optimized the level to run a bit faster, hopefully, by making more things semisolid.

Conversion to 224:
1. No changes should occur. None intentional, anyway.
