				  JumpPad v0.3
				  ============

1] Description
==============

Okay, I've been toying around with this idea now for some time, and finally sat down to do something about it. Does anyone remember the jumppads in Rise of the Triad. These jumppads gave us hours of fun during the deathmatch sessions. Well, I decided, hey why not. So I quickly made the mesh, did a really cheesy skin for it, and after some swearing, got it to work somehow. Now this is not close to what I was expecting it to do, but I'm ironing out the bugs as I write this, so expect some revisions soon. I just have to get past the next few semester tests, and then I'll get this baby to completion...

2] Installation and usage
=========================

Unzip the zip-file into your Unreal directory. In the Unreal Console type :

				open JumpPad

to play the test level.

To use this in your own levels, simple click the load button in UnrealEd Classes mode, and select the jumppad.u file. You can find the jumppad under the decoration tree.

You can then place the jumppad in your levels, it is placed under Decorations.

3] Bugs
=======

There are a few problems with the jumppad, but these seem to not really be bugs. One is the fact that it doesn't register when you touch it, only when you bump it. Another problem is the fact that you have to hit the jumppad from the side, otherwise it doesn't shoot you up again. Due to this fact, it's not really a trampoline. I don't know whether I should call this a bug, or maybe a feature :)

Any suggestions about any of these problems, please mail me...

Oh, the jumppad cannot be summoned it a level, because it's a decoration. This is not a bug. If you really want to summon it in a level, then you will have to change it to a Actor...

4] Legal
========

You can do whatever you want with this mod, just as long as you give me the due respects... Failure to do this will result in all your children developing huge warts on their foreheads!

Oh, and don't stick this baby on a CD without asking me. I shudder to think what will happen to you...

6] Thanks and all that...
=========================

Thanks go to Obi-Wan who did a much better mesh for this version that I had for the first version. Where would I be without him...

Okay, that's a wrap...
