The first known Shogo map in Quake 3!(and only I bet ;-))
Hell my very first map...

Instructions:

1 ) Extract q3madskillz.pk3 into your Quake3/baseq3/ directory
2 ) Start Quake3
3 ) To play Q3Madskillz (Description below) type "map q3madskillz"

Gameplay Specifics:
-------------------
The map is basically an arena chaos type map. 

Recommended players	:3-8
Weapons			:Shotgun, rocket launcher and a plasma gun.
Ammo			:Shells, Cells
Powerups 		:Quad, Invis, Haste

The orginal Shogo map was about a rumble to see who had skills to win the map. Built in a a "dome" with only 3 types of weapons, made it a real match of skill. The look of the map was boring as hell, with the beauty of the q3 engine, its now beautiful.

However the map is also...kinda dull in gameplay, so I spiced it up a bit.

To make the map more interesting in each of the 4 corner rooms, there is a "trigger_hurt" brush that keeps campers away and add as a "penalty" when you get a powerup. Two of the 4 corner rooms have their damage set to 35 but the "reward" is a plasma gun. More of a balance issue as the plasma gun rocks this type of map. 

To "reward" a player who dared getting a plasma gun or succeeded in killing a player with it, I placed one whole cell pack in the center of the map, all you have to do is Rocket Jump for it :-)

There is a quad that also appears but needs to be picked up via Rocket Jump.

I may do an update to the map if I get a flood of email saying that the gameplay is too crappy, or that some deadly goof is found.

Base	 : Exported .map file from DeEdit of Shogo level of_madskillz.ed, then modified, more modified, and really altered :-)
Editor(s) used            : Q3Radiant-- Very cool editor once you figure the %#^% thing out :-)
Build time		: 3 days
Compile time	: 3-4 hours

Previous Builds/Major Changes:

--There were bouncy pads that shot you across the map to the other side however when shot to the other side you would hit the bouncy pad there and bounce back. Real pain in the ass to figure out and tweak correctly. Also the quad was suspended in the air so that only a player using a bouncy pad could get it.

--Rail gun was in original "trigger_hurt" rooms with damge set to 25. Other players complained so took them out.

Wish list for map:
--------------------------------------------
1. Put bouncy pads back in that work and stick the quad up there.
2. Add some kind of rotating fan/blade at the top of the map so that if the unlucky player who bounced up there for the quad would instantly be gibbed into pieces raining onto players below.
3. A sound of some kind presumably sounds/fireloud.wav that you would hear while you stand close to the barrels with the torches sticking out.
4. Get some real raging fire in those barrels.
