BrownFoot's ARSENAL - The HUGE weapons MOD ver 2.10
                      for Rainbow Six

Created by : BrownFoot (really?)

WHAT THIS MOD DOES:
Adds new weapons to Rainbow Six, including new sounds and
inventory bitmaps for the weapons! Kick ass!

NOTE: v2.10 isn't really compatible with version 2.01 or 2.00.

FULL INSTALLATION:
 1. Run BF_ARSENAL_210.EXE and select your Rainbow Six
    directory.
 2. Enjoy.

SMALLER ARSENAL INSTALLATION FOR MULTIPLAYER:
If you are having problems during multiplayer games where
you are dropped from the server during the beginning or
end of the action phase of the game. Also try this install
if you are running a server and clients are experiencing
 this problem.

 1. Do FULL installation above (if you haven't already).
 2. Run BF_SMALL_210.EXE and select your Rainbow Six
    Directory.

PISTOLS ONLY INSTALLATION FOR MULTIPLAYER:
One fun multiplayer option is to use only pistols and
shotguns. To set this option on the server:
 1. Do FULL installation above (if you haven't already).
 2. Run BF_PISTOLS_210.EXE and select your Rainbow Six
    Directory.

RESTORING FULL INSTALLATION:
If you have installed one of the other optional installations
and want to restore to the FULL Arsenal MOD:
 1. Do FULL installation above (if you haven't already).
 2. Run BF_FULL_210.EXE and select your Rainbow Six
    Directory.

UNINSTALLATION
 1. Run the BF_UNARSENAL.EXE file in your Rainbow Six directory.

WARNING: This add-on could cause problems with your installation
of Rainbow 6. If you start to see abnormal behavior, just run
BF_UNARSENAL.EXE from your Rainbow Six directory. If you still have
problems install over the files with the versions from the CD and
reapply any patches. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT RED STORM/RAINBOW SIX
TECHNICAL SUPPORT. THIS IS NOT THEIR PRODUCT.

HOW TO SWITCH IN/OUT THE EXTRA WEAPONS
In making this MOD I ran into a little snag. The Rainbow Six
engine only allows 32 primary or secondary weapons, and I made
a lot more than that. However, it is easy to swap in and out
the additional weapons. Go to the /data/kit directory in your
Rainbow Six directory. Open the "primary.itm" file with a text
editor like Notepad. You will see certain weapons in the list
commented out with "//"'s. If you want to remove a weapon from
the list, just place a // in front of it. To put a weapon into
the list, remove the //'s. Easy. Now, there's one more file you
must change in the same way. Go to the /data/text/kit/english
directory and open the "primary.txt" file. Do the same thing in
this file swapping out weapons. You don't need to do this for the
secondary weapons since there are less than 32 of them. Don't
forget to save the two files you edited. And don't change the
number of weapons number at the top. It's OK to be over 32.

Remember, Rainbow Six can only show 32 at a time so if some
aren't showing up, it might be because you have too many. If the
inventory name for the weapon is wrong, then you have mismatched
the two files (primary.itm and primary.txt).

Note: all weapons should be available to multiplayer users even
if the server and the clients have mismatched weapons lists. As
long as both people have this MOD and the server allows your
 weapon, all is good.
