The Beretta 92FS was designated the M9 by the U.S. Military and is currently the standard issued sidearm. Firing a 9mm round at 390 mps, the semi automatic pistol operates on a short recoil, delayed locking block system, which yields a faster cycle time. Features include a forged frame made from lightweight, aircraft quality aluminum alloy. Providing durability, the slide and other steel components are coated with bruniton, a Teflon based material that provides superior corrosion resistance and reduced friction between frame and slide.
