Pak Description:
================
This pak file contains all the miscellaneous sounds for the scientist:
it contains random one-liners, random questions, random answers, random
greetings, "used" & "released" lines, healing lines, health status,
pain, shock, & fear lines.
(If, after installing this pak, you hear some questions/answers/etc that
you recognize from the original game, then they are lines that we have
missed -- please e-mail us the line that you heard and we will try to
locate and replace it.)

General Description:
====================
Basically these are sounds to replace some NPC sounds in the
single-player game. There really is no reason why we came up with
them ... we just started fooling around with PakExplorer and decided
it would be a fun thing to do.
Anyways, enjoy

*** WARNING! *** These pak files do contain some words (and phrases)
                 that some people may find offensive.

Installation:
=============
1) Unzip the downloaded (zip) file into your Half-Life directory. The files "liblist.gam"
   and "rename_pak.bat" are okay to be replaced, in case you're asked that question.
   e.g. If your Half-Life directory is C:\Games\Half-Life then unzip the file into
        C:\Games\Half-Life
2) This should create the following directory structure:
	.\Half-Life
	.\Half-Life\MPHLS
	.\Half-Life\MPHLS\liblist.gam
	.\Half-Life\MPHLS\mphls_misc_sci.pak
	.\Half-Life\MPHLS\mphls_misc_sci.txt
	.\Half-Life\MPHLS\rename_pak.bat
   (If you don't know what the ".\" is for, don't worry about it.)
3) Open up a DOS shell
   (one way of doing this is to go to the Start menu, click on Run, then type in
   "command" and press ENTER)
4) Enter the newly created MPHLS directory
   e.g. If your Half-Life directory is C:\Games\Half-Life then you would say:
	cd Games\Half-Life\MPHLS
5) Run the following command:
	rename_pak mphls_misc_sci.pak
6) The file "mphls_misc_sci.pak" will be renamed to pak#.pak where # is some number.
   That's it!

How to start Playing:
=====================
1) Start up Half-Life as normal
2) Go to "Custom Game". You should see our stuff listed there as
	"Mike and Pete's Fun Half-Life Sound Pak"
3) Activate it and return to the main menu. If this has been installed properly,
   you should now be looking at two cute dough boys.
4) Start a new game (any difficulty level) and enjoy!

** Please note: ** Many of the replacement sounds are much longer than
the original sounds that they replace. Because of this, you will
probably find that a lot of the replacement sounds get interrupted.
There is, unfortunately, no fix for this, but one thing that may help is
to avoid looking at the speaker, as that sometimes prompts him to say
something.
