"WOW...I'm completely speechless. For a first level set ever, that's pretty damn good (and what makes it even better is that we're mentioned twice!!). I salute Dave Johnston for this fine piece of Half-Life filled goodness. I think that I may post a small review of it for those that haven't played it (may God save your soul...get it now!), but I don't know yet. Again, it's great."

"Its fun. Its cool. What more needs to be said?"
"ETC, by Dave Johnston. I just played through this map set... I have work to do, but I couldn't stop until it was done! Damn you Dave! :) The story is familiar - you're a scientist. You're in a lab environment. There's some government shock troops out to get you. Escape! Its construction is great, and the gameplay is a challenge. This is one I recommend you play."

"Wow..... I am seriously impressed with this series! Half-Life maps are generally of 3 types: the crap ones, the average ones - and the ones that go way beyond being 'good' and end up utterly fantastic (see: USS Darkstar, Xeno Project etc.). ETC definitely ranks alongside those maps as being utterly fantastic."

"The ambience of the set is just incredible. The lighting is beautifully done throughout the map. The brushwork is superb. The texturing couldn't be more perfect. There always seems to be something exploding or breaking or making noises at you. The level is truly alive."
"Ah. Another day, another map. Wait a minute... this is a good map. Actually, it's darn good. I haven't had this much fun playing Half-Life since I played Half-Life itself!"

"ETC, the single-player episode by Dave Johnston is a cut above the rest in quality."

"It makes a nice change for an author to hone their skills in private before unleashing their creations upon us and ETC shows quite conclusively how superior this approach is."
"...nonetheless the balance was great, the visuals were pleasing, and the earthquake effects just have to be experienced as they are the best in the business. I'll say it again, get this one!"
