Filename : TARGET.map

Author : Klaus Breuer

Description :	A map to allow you to practice your aim.
                Source included.

Extended Description: Okay, as usual this got a bit out of hand.
Here's an overview of the map:

                                  C D
                           A ------------ --- F
                              B--| G E |--|

The main feature is the corridor running from
east to west (---). The rooms are as follows:

                       (A) Is a very large courtyard. You stand safely
in a tower in the middle. The buttons toggle
                           monster-creators: Grunts, Alien Grunts,
                           Scientists and Barneys.
This allows you to set up a nice battle
between these monsters. Feel free to NOCLIP and
                           join the fun.
Beware: a full battle can tax your computer heavily.

                       (B) Here you can watch the battle from (A) at ground
level, safe behind glass. If you want to heat things up
a bit, you can trigger the turrets in the corners >:)

                       (C) Some grunts behind a wall. On the other side: scientists.
At the press of a button, the wall disappears...
Again, you can watch in perfect safety.
Of course, the button also triggers a scientist generator,
                           so the fun doesn't stop.

                       (D) Standard man-sized targets, with a single moving target.

                       (E) Press the button to get some *real* targets.

                       (F) Urban combat. Unless you shoot at them, the Barneys will
help you. Some targets are also available for practice.

                       (G) This is where you start out. Although I assume that you'll
use 'IMPULSE 101' a couple of times, there are some
                           weapons here for you.

Comments: * The Barneys are fierce opponents! Fighting a three-way battle in (A) can
be very interesting, and the outcome is a bit random.

            * On purpose, I did not make the monsters in (A) appear in a conveyor
belt. This way, they stand a better chance of winning if they move
away from their starting sopt. Often they won't.

            * Why room (C)? Greetings to The Scientist Killers at
              http://www.planethalflife.com/club/

            * I didn't teach the grunts in (F) to walk stairs (I want them to stay).
In fact, you can even destroy the stairs (if you try long enough).

            * All doors in the corridor open simultaneously. I found this convenient.
