* Description *

A U.S Marine Corps Bell AH-1W SuperCobra attack helicopter.  Equipped with two 70mm rocket pods on the inboard wing stations and 8 TOW (Tube Launched Optically Tracked Wired Guided) missles on the wingtip stations.  The fully rotational three barrel chain-gun turret under the chin of the helicopter can be fired from within the cabin .  There is an aviation ladder in the retracted position on one side of the aircraft and if you climb it, the canopy will open on the side.  (Note: Give it a sec to open so that you don't block it.  You might have to crawl to get in the cockpit too.)  The main and tail rotor are func_rotating with and ambient_generic producing an apache like sound and begin upon start up.  Disable if you like.

This was originally meant to be a static model with no useable cockpit but I decided that would be too boring and added the controllable turret.  Also remember to adjust the axis on the turrets and rotors if you decide to rotate this prefab.  Texture as you like but I think the current one is good since it has a panel-like appearance like most aircraft do.  Remove the weapons if you want to reduce the polygon count :)

Note: This is the third revision of the Supercobra prefab.  No, I didn't skip over version 2.0, that one was done for a request for someone else but this one is better I think.  The only major changes in this version is the reduced face count.  I had to remove alot of details and simplfy alot of solids but you'll notice the difference when you try to compile it. I also re-textured the helicopter that looks better than the previous one (in my opinion) and the wingspan has been reduced by nearly half.

You may include this prefab in any type of non-commercial release so long as you include me in your text file and give me proper credit. Feel free to alter the textures or entity settings to your needs but if you drastically change any brushes then be sure to acknowledge my prefab as a base for whatever you end up making.
