Description             : Half-Life Prefab

* Description *

A Mikoyan Gurevich Mig-23 Flogger (G model) figther jet from the former Soviet Union. Armed with 2 short range missles for dogfighting and 2 AA-7 Apex long range missles for BVR combat. It may seem a little too big but it is built to scale so just resize it if you have to. The missles and the pylons add about 200+ faces to the prefab so remove a few missles or all if you want to reduce face count. I decided to add a new missle to add a little variety but the new missle has a couple more faces that the short range one so if you want to reduce face count I would replace it with the short range missles or some bombs or drop tanks.

The landing gear is not totally accurate but it works for now. This is a parked version so remove the landing gear and turn the ventral fin 90 degrees so that if faces downwards if you plan to have it as an in-flight model (making a bombing run or something) The cockpit is non-accessible, I originally intended to allow you to climb into it (thats why it is to scale) but I may save that for a later revision. I modified some of the Half-Life textures to make some custom decals for the aircraft. Along with a red star on the tail and a number on the sides near the cockpit there is some intake detailing and the front canopy has a bubble effect.

Note: This prefab is my third with custom textures. I usually try to avoid using custom textures so it is easier for the new people to use. Well to use the custom textures in the game all you have to do is place the included mig.wad into your "valve" directory where ever you installed half-life. There should be some other wad files in that dir in case your not sure which one it is. To load the textures in Worldcraft you need to add the the wad to you texture list under the Tools > Configuration area. If I release more migs I will also release an updated mig.wad that will be compatible with the older aircraft too.

You may include this prefab in any type of non-commercial release so long as you include me in your text file and give me proper credit. Feel free to alter the textures or entity settings to your needs but if you drastically change any brushes then be sure to acknowledge my prefab as a base for whatever you end up making. Also if you see any of my prefabs in a map that does not credit me let me know!
