* Description *

A Mil Mi-24 Hind-D assault transport helicopter gunship from the former Soviet Union. One of the first true helicopter "gunships" with limited anti-tank capability. Armed with 4 rocket pods and 4 anti-tank missles and a 12.7mm (.50 caliber) minigun in the nose. The weapons do not fire but a good suggestion would be to make the minigun a sentry turret like in Team Fortess that shoots at the enemy team! The cabin is large enough for a few respawn points or cargo and is currently empty (to reduce face count) and the doors are removed for easier access (and less faces). The cockpit is non hollowed out and non detailed (I may fix it in another revision) because of face count considerations again. Texturing is "different" compared to my usual style so re-texture as you see fit. There is 2 lights in the cabin to provide illumination, remove/adjust as you like. The only new texture I used is a modified one from the halflife.wad that was set to random (but I removed the random tag).

This prefab is the most challenging I've done to date. Its not the most accurate and I did that intentionally so don't e-mail me about whats not correct about it. Its got ALOT of faces but there is no way around it because of the size and configuration of this particular aircraft. I did what I could to reduce face count but it still pretty high so place it with caution.

Note: This prefab is my fourth with custom textures. I usually try to avoid using custom textures so it is easier for the new people to use. Well to use the custom textures in the game all you have to do is place the included mig.wad into your "valve" directory where ever you installed half-life. There should be some other wad files in that dir in case your not sure which one it is. To load the textures in Worldcraft you need to add the the wad to you texture list under the Tools > Configuration area. If I release more migs I will also release an updated mig.wad that will be compatible with the older aircraft too.

You may include this prefab in any type of non-commercial release so long as you include me in your text file and give me proper credit. Feel free to alter the textures or entity settings to your needs but if you drastically change any brushes then be sure to acknowledge my prefab as a base for whatever you end up making. Also if you see any of my prefabs in a map that does not credit me let me know!
