* Description *

A Bell Model 205 UH-1 Iroquois. Better known as the "Huey". Best known as the flying truck of the Vietnam war, this was the workhorse of the U.S. Army from the 60s to the late 80s. I've seen another Huey prefab out there and its okay but it just doesn't do this helicopter justice. I admit this is not a 100 percent replica of the Huey but its darn close. Since the SuperCobra and Huey are based around the same transmission and rotors I used the tail assembly and rotors from the Supercobra on this prefab. Other than that its a completely new design. As usual the main rotor and tail rotor rotate (don't forget to change the axis on the func_rotate if you decide to rotate the helicopter) and the cockpit is detailed. I left out the flight controls this time to reduce polygon counts (my last prefab had twice as many polygons as this one!). There is an ambient_generic above the rotors to add a helicopter sound too. I added a cabin light in the troop compartment cause I thought it was too dark, remove if you like. I think it would look nice with some door guns (for deathmatch) but my specialty is aircraft not guns so I would suggest downloading a good machine gun prefab and creating a mount for it.

Note: Damn its hard to believe its been 3 months since my last prefab. For those of you who've enjoyed my past prefabs I apologize for the inactivity. I didn't get much feedback from the previous ones so I didn't feel an urge to make more. But lately there has been interest so I'm back and hope to have more on the way. Please send me any bugs or comments about any of my prefabs and I might send you a fixed version!
