Description:

LordDeath continues his trademark oddly shaped/placed energy centers with his latest release Towers of Hanoi. Towers was a brainstorm I had while thinking of the ancient (chinese?) puzzle of the Towers of Hanoi. Basically the concept was to have 3 large towers with the energy centers located at the top of each of them. Each of the energy centers are blocked off by a shoot-through fencing, and only one of them is accessible at a time. Once you use the energy center to recharge, you must exit by flying through a set of two triggers, one of which closes the currently open energy center, and the other one which opens another tower somewhere else in the level. There is also a fourth energy center above the reactor, but on an ace or insane difficulty level it would be unwise to attempt to charge up there.

The way the energy centers are organized in this level plus the fact that ALL primaries are energy based makes this level a strategists dream. The person who will win in this level is the one who can do three things. Be aware of what energy center is open, and where his opponent is, conserve energy, and be fast when he needs to recharge or cut off his opponent from recharging. This level is very fast to learn and play, and although it looks large in a missions builder, beta tests have shown that it is optimum for 1 on 1, as contact between opponents is frequent and furied. It could probably host up to 4 as there are at least 4 sets of quad lasers, and burners in the level. The constant changing of the level's recharge location constantly shifts the locations of the fights in the game and keeps the action and ambushing fresh. The strategies here are unlimited, from marker abuse, for those who leave camera views on, to attempting to trap your opponent in the energy center, to cutting off and ambushing, to stealth. This level has it all and is probably my best 1 on 1 level so far.

Have fun with this and please if you play it let me know what you think!
