 CHAPTER 2: How to use this program
   [2.1] Use RAMView as ADD-ON

 ====================================================================

 CHAPTER 1: About RA-MAP View
 ----------------------------
 This program was written to view mission and multiplayer maps!
 I developed RA-MAP View for use in RA-MIXer 5.x, but you can
 ALSO use it without RA-MIXer.
 It's great for a "QUICK-VIEW" of a map.... (loading EDWIN.EXE or
 EDDOS.EXE would take much more time).
 Please note, that RA-MAP View 1.3 Standard doesn't show the overlays like
 ore, gem stones, units and buildings.
 In this version, all the graphics are included. Version 2.0 won't
 have these graphics-files (TEMPERAT.DAT, SNOW.DAT and INTERIOR.DAT)
 any more, but an Installer which will extract all the graphics DIRECTLY
 from MAIN.MIX. So, the ZIP will be smaller....
 NOTE: You can only use versions above 1.1 as an ADD-ON for RA-MIXer 5.x!

 Note: RA-MAP Viewer 1.3 Professional will be released soon!
       This version was developed for "Power users", but is
       as fast as the Standard version and also easy to use.
       The difference is, that it works in high resolution
       modes only (640x480 or 800x600).
       RA-MAP View Professional also displays some of the map
       overlays like trees, gem stones, ore and walls.
       => Requires: i386, 2 MB RAM, VESA 1.x
       => Recommanded: Pentium, 2 MB RAM, VESA 2 with LFB

 [1.2] MAP-Decoding KERNEL 1.2
 -----------------------------
 Red Alert maps are decoded and packed... So you need a program to
 unpack and undecode these maps! That's what my MAP-decoding KERNEL does!
 Gavin has also written such a program (MAPDEC.EXE) but it is very very
 slow. MAP-Decoding KERNEL 1.2 is able to generate the MAP-data
 ([MapPack]-section and [Overlay]-section) within 900 ms!! ...fast....
 If you want to use my MAP-Decoding KERNEL in your programs, please tell me!

 RA-MAP-decoding KERNEL 1.2 is not freeware, so you have to pay for
 it: 1 licence costs only $US 20!!  (Sourcecode: $US 30).

 The MAP decoder is available as:
    * TPU (Turbo Pascal 6.0 - Real Mode)
    * TPU (Turbo Pascal 7.0 - Real Mode)
    * TPP (Borland Pascal 7.0 - Protected Mode)
    * TPW  (Turbo/Borland Pascal 7.0 - Windows)
    * DLL (16-bit, written in Delphi 1.0 or Borland Pascal 7.0)
    * DLL  (32-bit, written in Delphi 2.0, 32-bit)
    * DCU  (Unit for Delphi 2.0, 32-bit)

    * EXE  (for DOS)
    * EXE (for DOS protected mode using RTM.EXE)
    * EXE  (for Win 3.1)
    * EXE  (for Win95 and WinNT 4.0)

 (The Sourcecode is available in Turbo/Borland Pascal or Delphi!)
