Mission Briefing:

Commander,

It looks like Arkin's base on Alpha Centauri 5's innermost moon is very well fortified.  Several 
missions to destroy it have failed miserably.  We will need your expertise with the Comet Cruise
Missile in order for this mission to succeed.

First, establish a base at the plateau geysers.  make sure this base is well protected.  Then arm 
your vehicle with a Comet Cruise Missile launcher and proceed northwest to Arkin's base,
where you must get in close enough to destroy the recycler.  You may have to destroy some
outer defenses before using the Comet on the recycler.

There may be another recycler in the area.  Attacking it is your call Commander, but your top 
priority is to destroy the recycler at the northwest base.

Installation Instructions

Before you begin, exit Battlezone if it is running.

1) All the files in the zip file need to be unzipped into your BattleZone\addon directory 
   (folder).

2) Do not modify any of the files in any way!  The map will no longer work and/or lose
   multiplayer compatability.

3) WARNING about the edit mode menu files:  If you have a custom edit mode menu file (odf files starting with b_) in your addon directory, the AI probably won't function correctly.   Enemy units may not be produced (what fun would that be?).  I have no idea why this happens, but I've seen it happen with maps (mine and others) having custom odf files.   I suggest you remove them from the addon directory (or modify the name by 1 character).

Game Startup
------------
Do not play this game with the /edit option.  Otherwise, the .hgt file might be modified 
when the constructor builds units.

In order for the mission to function as intended, you should exit Battlezone before 
restarting a mission over again.

Frame rate may decrease after going to sattelite view.  To correct this, hit the "esc" key 
and then return to the game. 


Credits:  Kudos to Battlezone and Bzfrac14a.  Both are excellent map-making tools.


These files will in no way affect any other missions (unless by strange coincidence they 
have odfs of the same name).  This mission uses the following odf files from Get Arkin I:
getar0.odf, getar2.odf, getar5.odf, getar6.odf, getar7.odf and getarkin.act.

The following are from Get Arkin III: getar13.odf, getar15.odf.

aetar8.odf, aetar10.odf, aetar11.odf and getar22.odf are new files for this mission.

All other files for this mission are in the form of getarkn4.*.
