Notes:

Thank you for being one of the first to try this mod!

Yes, it is in a very early stage. Yes, it's not as exciting as it will be. There are a lot of improvements on the drawing board, and if you'd like to help or if you have any comments please visit the page above.

To play:

You will need to have Quake Point Release 117 installed.

Download pakman.zip into a temporary directory. Unzip to your "Quake III Arena" directory (the one with quake3.exe). This will create a new mod directory called "pakman" under your quake directory. Run Quake III Arena and choose the mods option. You should see "pakman" listed. Choose pakman. It may look like your game is exiting; it is just loading the mod info. Quake III Arena will come back; you won't see any changes yet (I'm working on adding something).

Try to find a server, or make one. I haven't set the map up to show on the map screen, so for now, to play the custom maze map, first choose another map. IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE PURE SERVER IS TURNED OFF. When the generic map loads, your perspective should be third person overhead.

At the console type "\map pakman" and the maze map will start. You can add bots, or if you are on a lan others can join. (I will try to create a server on our T1 this weekend.)

Let me know what you think, especially if you have problems.

Special thanks to iD, Quark 6 beta, Quake II Modeller, Npherno's compiler, M$VC++, Wolf, and everyone who gives this mod a shot.
