		   DEATH'S DOMINION: EPISODE 1

			The Story Proper

After having defeated Cthon, Shub-Niggurath, Armagon, The Overlord
and the Dragon itself, you venture deeper behind the Dragon's lair. After
the destruction of the temporal energy converter you step into the giant
teleporter there, expecting to be going home.
Typical of the backstabbing bastard children of Quake, all was
not as it seemed. The whole overview of things is controlled back in time,
in a place that you missed the first time around. Quake's minions are thicker
than ever before, and you wonder why, as you pretty much instigated total
annihilation the first time round.
It seems that total anarchy has broken out with the fall of their
almighty commander. You are brought out of a teleporter far back in time
in a place of unspeakable atrocity, as you step out you are greeted by
the full ensemble of quake's forces. As you struggle to cry out, an ogre
lunges from the shadows behind you and with a growl bludgeons you over the
head with his grenade launcher. You wake up reeling from the pain, in a
dingy dungeon torture room cell. You aren't brought food or water, and you
wonder just who these bastards think they are. When you can get a weapon
its a sure thing that they're all going down. In your time there you begin
to piece together in your head, and from what you can hear, ideas to explain
your situation. It seems that in the mediaeval time period in which Quake
chose to make his home there existed a strange paradoX of technology. Amongst
the Death Knights and drawbridges in a place highly guarded, there nestled
the crowning achievement of Quake's wizardry. A Cloning Machine. DNA samples
were taken from all of quakes minions and after his fall were accessed by
those survivors. They managed to reanimate MULTIPLE copies of Armagon and
Shub-Niggurath, and Cthon. This however was not a story of total success.
In their infinite stupidity they did not totally understand the process,
and hideous deformations both physically and mentally would often occur.
This lead to bitterness amongst the monsters. This, coupled with the loss
of the original Quake and his binding magic led to the defection of many
monsters away from Quake and his evil ways, instead they became warriors
against his armies of pain. You even got to witness a couple of them being
torn apart too.

It had been two days and you were suffering from starvation, but this only
heightened the battle anger within. Last night you dreamt of revenge, a
foolish grunt had entered your cell. You realized that this was IT. You
screamed and smashed his shotgun out of his hands. You followed with a
head butt for old times sake and right hooked him against the door post.
You picked up the shotgun and aimed at his ugly face, ready to paint the
walls a refreshing new shade of brain. As he pulls his pistol you smiled
a painful grimace and vowed that this time it would be well and truly
finished. You wake up, thinking that its the thought that counts.
You have been moved. You have been moved to a cell, external to the cell
block of your previous encapsulation. You peer through the bars, three
crosses are erected on a hill, a gross biblical parody. A thunderstorm
swells in the sky, lightning strikes the ground. You begin to mutter bad
things and wonder how you're gonna get out of this one and destroy quake's
legacy once and for all...
