Quake 2 Late Night with Toxy: A Quake 2 Movie
                 =============================================

Quick Start:

To install, extract the contents of the Zip file into your Quake2 directory with the
"Use Folder Names" box checked. This will place a "latenite.bat" file in your Quake2
directory, and a pak5.pak file into a new directory called quake2/latenite.

To view the movie, just double click on the latenite.bat file and all should go well.

For some reason if the incorrect video options load up (i.e. you start up in software
mode instead of OpenGL) or you have to stop the demo to raise the console, try typing
in the following lines in the console:

set game latenite
demomap latenite.dm2

If this workaround does not work for you, or you are unable to view the movie at all,
please mail any problems (with details/symptoms) to:

essobie@planetquake.com

Zip Contents:

latenite.bat Start file for the movie (/quake2/latenite.bat)
latenite.cfg Executed .cfg file to start movie from in the game
                 (/quake2/latenite/latenite.cfg)
pak5.pak Compilation Pak file containing all materials needed for the demo viewing
                 (/quake2/latenite/pak5.pak)
readme.txt You're reading it. CONGRATS!!!!! (/quake2/latenite/readme.txt)

Credits:

Quake 2 Late Nite was conceived from the sick heads of Toxy and Essobie. The script,
blocking, and concept were all joint efforts of the two.

Show3.bsp is entirely the fault of Toxy, and in no way should be blamed on Essobie,
or anyone else in the universe.

The redeath.pcx skin that Essobie wears was created by Essobie. TiggerDawg's tiggerd.pcx
(and topdawgz.pcx found in the pak file) were both created by TiggerDawg himself.

All voice acting was done by Essobie and Toxy, except the voice of TiggerDawg, who kindly
took the time out to do a small interview via email, and turned it into real voice. As
far as I know, this is a first in the Quake Movie field because of it!

Filming, Camera Editing and Sound Mixing was coordinated by Essobie.

Special thanks to the following individuals for helping us out at one time or another with
this project:

TiggerDawg ([PORTALS]), Tiger ([PORTALS]), Greenlee and the entire group of guys at the
last Greenlee's Gib-O-Rama in Clear Lake, TX that were the force behind the audience.
All of the beta testers that immediately mailed me after the first version was out mentioning
that I didn't put the map in the .zip file. Woops!

And of course, David Wright (aka CRT) for being not only the the author of the best
Quake 2 mod in the universe (Rocket Arena 2) but also for being the author of easily the
best Quake Related Utility program to date: Keygrip2.

Hope you enjoy it!
