    Guide To Complete The Base

This file explains how to complete The_Base.Map Duke Nukem 3D level by Andrew Palmer. For best results and easier understanding it should be used in conjunction with MAP.bmp which should have been in The_Base.zip containing the level itself.

This is intended for those of you who play on hard. If you don't then half the baddies won't be there (on easy) so play on hard NOW!

You start off in a small room joined to a large room. Turn left and there should be a slightly differently shaded section of wall. This opens up and you get some shells and a laser tripbomb.

There is a room with two Pig cops in it nearby. Kill them, take the guns and flick the switch. The large door will now have opened.
 
Don't go through it, instead go to where there is light from the room shining out of the door onto the wall. Open this for secret numero two. Kill the badasses and collect the weapons.
 
Go back the way you came and go through the large door. Go mental and kill everything.

There is a locked blue key door and another door to the right. Kill the enforcers and go through the door to the right.

Pass down the corridor killing the liztroops which jump out, pick up any stuff you may need then pass out the other door and follow the corridor until you reach a large room. Grab the ripper and waste everything.

Go into the small room killing anything that isn't already dead and grab the ammo. 

Go over to the other small room with three switches in. The one on the left opens a door down the corridor you came down. The middle one opens a goodie store next to you and the one on the right opens a room with some baddies in. Flick them all and kill the baddies.

Go back down the corridor and through the door which opened. Kill the bad guys and jump up the crates until you reach the top. Jump in the water (killing the troopers) and swim down the tunnel.

Kill both pigcops but don't flick the switch to activate the lift yet.

Go right in to the room with the enforcer in it and kill the baddies. Collect the blue keycard and open the other side of the computer unit to get some ammo (not classed as a secret). Go back to the lift and swipe the keycard in the slot - this unlocks the door at the top of the lift.

Activate the lift and beat up the enforcer and his two mates that come down on it. Ride it up and go through the door and turn left.

Follow the passageway to the end killing those pigcops. When you reach the end if you turn around you should see a light cast across the corridor. Go back and kill the bad dudes in the room with a pipebomb.

There will be a darker section of wall in the room. This opens up to reveal a pigcop and a teleport- kill him before he goes into the teleport. If he does don't follow him yet.

Behind the teleporter is a wall with a different texture on to the other walls. Open it up and get the night vision goggles before going into the teleport.

Kill the sentry drone and the other bad guys. There will be a room high up with a two enforcers on walkways going to it. On the opposite side of the room there is a section of wall with a slightly pushed up texture on it where the middle light shines on it. Open it and go through the door. Kill the octabrains and go to the place where the light shines on the wall. This opens up to reveal an RPG.

Kill the baddies in the room at the end of the walkway. Jump out the window if you don't mind taking a little damage. Go down the corridor killing those little assholes on the way. Go through the teleporter and open the door in front of you.

You will be on the corridor near the first teleporter. Go to the end and you will see an L shaped structure. Kill the two bad guys outside the structure then go inside, killing the octabrain on the steps. Go inside and kill all the bastards dead.

Collect the atomic health then flick the switch on the back to back computer. A room opens letting you access the yellow keycard. Exit the structure and go forwards into the lighter of the two corridors nearby.

Turn left and you will see the back of the bluekey door you saw at the start, kill the Pigcop on guard. Walk to it and turn around as the walls behind you open up. Kill the enforcers and pigcops and flick the switch. Run back to the area with the first teleport and flick the newly exposed switch. Run back to where you were before and continue to the end of the corridor and kill the enforcer on the right.

Open the door and kill the pigcops. Continue left then go through the door at the end by flicking the switch next to it. Kill the Pigcop behind the door.

You will be in the walkway around the large room at the start. Kill any left-over pigcops and collect the stuff.

Go through the other door into a room with an incinerator, kill the baddies and then continue to the door you haven't been through yet.

In the passageway will be three octabrains so kill them quick. Follow the corridor and go through the end door.

You emerge in a room with three sentry drones, kill them also (hahahahaha, die die!). turn right, you will be in a tall room with a lift in the corner. Flick the switch and kill the three enforcers on it and the one that jumps down behind you. Ride the lift up.

At the top of the lift is a big room with lots of computers in it. Kill the baddies in it and collect the ammo. Go to the part where the lightning is coming down and look just to the left of it. There is a switch on the wall. Flick it and grab the bombs. 

Go around to the other lift (walk up to the dissection table if you want) and flick the switch to bring it down. Kill Bert the enforcer and Ron and Ted, his two mates then ride the lift up.

Kill the Pigcops but don't flick the switch. Go into the computer room and kill the evil twins and Mr. Enforcer. Flick the switch in there and kill the four troopers who come out. Flick both switches in the small rooms and open the door in the corridor near the camera. Kill the Octabrain and collect the ammo and the red keycard. Go back to the lift and shoot the switch while you are on the lift.

A large section of wall will have opened, kill kill kill (you can never do to much I say) everything and grab the stuff. Go to the first lift and kill the troopers that aren't intending on buying you a pint (i.e. all of them). Ride down on the lift.

Kill the enforcer who has respawned then continue into the room with the two wall lights in. Another wall will have opened up revealing four Octabrians and two Liztroops. Spill their blood and grab the goodies.

Now go back to the L shaped room, kill the odd badass on the way and go down the dark corridor with the red door at the end. Swipe the machine with your red card and open the door. Flick the switch and collect the RPG ammo and pipebombs. 

Change to the RPG and go to the door which opened when you flicked the switch. Unload six rockets into "Big Nasty Monster's" hide. Make sure the octabrains die too. Collect all the goodies on the back shelf and use the keycard machine. Open the door to reveal which doors are open. Shoot the buttons below the doors until all the doors rise.

Now go back out into the corridor and notice that the last door is open. Go through and kill the troopers. Go into the secret room at the side (which was opened by the switch you flicked earlier) and make the baddies respect your weapons. Collect the stuff too. Go back to where the Troopers were and look for a dark area of wall at the end of the room. Open it and blag the medikit for the last secret bit.
 
Now go to the short corridor and step on the floor panel to open up the sides. Kill all of the seven bastards who come your way (heh heh!). Walk out into the area with the rocky walls and kill the two enforcers.

Finally walk through the doorway with the metal supports and kill the dude in the mineshaft on the right of the lift to get 100% kills. Finally walk onto the lift to end the level. "Yeah! Piece of cake!"
