Title : Kick The Bucket
File Name : mkkick.bsp
ZIP Size : 765 Kb
BSP Size : 1.8 Mb (unzipped)
Version : 31st January 1999 (original version)
			  24th October 1999 (re-compiled version)
Author : Martin "Killer" Kilcoyne
E-mail : martin8@clara.net
Web Site : http://www.planetquake.com/killer
Killer's Map Repository - Updated on a fairly regular
basis, this is home to all my Quake II deathmatch
maps. You will also find plenty of news about what's
happening in the mapping community, articles by me
about all sorts of stuff, loads of links to Quake
related sites and more (of course :-)
Description : This map is identical to the pre-release version of
KTDM1 except that I used Geoff DeWan's compilers to
get rid of the small VIS error that was in the
Adrenaline room. The file name is the same so if you
have the old version installed I suggest that you
			  overwrite it with this one.

If this map is new to you then here is a bit of info
for you. The map has quite a large footprint so you
are going to need quite a few players to get the most
out of it (I recommend about 10 players for maximum
enjoyment). There is a strong industrial theme
throughout with plenty of pipes and catwalks to play
on. Every weapon except the BFG10K is included and
there is plenty of ammo to keep the action flowing.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the map.

			  Martin "Killer" Kilcoyne

By the way if you run or know of any server running
this map then please e-mail me (martin8@clara.net).

N.B. (Eraser users only): I have also included a route table in this zip. This
will allow you to start using the map immediately
with the Eraser Bot without having to "teach" the
bots the level. To use it just unzip the file
			  "mkkick.rtz" into your "C:\quake2\eraser\routes"
directory BEFORE you load the level for the first
time, otherwise a route called "mkkick.rtz" will
be automatically created and you will have to delete
this and then replace it with my version.

* How To Use This Level *

Installation requires small amount of thought so here's some instructions ;-)

1. Unzip the files "mkkick.bsp" and "mkkick.txt" (this file) into your
   "quake2/baseq2/maps" directory.

2. Unzip the "kt_waste.wal" and "ktwaste2.wal" files into a new folder:
"/quake2/baseq2/textures/ktimpakt" (You must use this path or the textures
   will not work).

3. Start up Quake II and bring up the console then type "map mkkick". If you
see checkerboards anywhere then you messed up, try again. If it still
doesn't work then mail me with details and I'll see what I can do :-)
