If you are having network problems, please try the following:

Microsoft Windows 95
--------------------
   To install TCP/IP on your computer: 

   1.From the Windows 95 Start menu, select Settings -> Control Panel. 
   2.In the Control Panel window, double-click on the Network icon. 
   3.In the Configuration tab of the Network window, click Add. 
   4.In the Select Network Component Type window, select the Protocol item from the list and
   click Add. 5.In the Select Network Protocol window, select Microsoft from the
   Manufacturers pane, and select TCP/IP from the
     Network pane. Click OK. 
   6.In the Select Device window, select Microsoft from the Manufacturers pane. Dial-Up
   Adapter is automatically
     selected in the Models pane. Click OK. 
   7.TCP/IP (as well as a number of other components) should now appear in the Network
   window components pane.
     Click OK in the Network window. A window appears to indicate that the protocols are
     being installed. 
   8.When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes. 

If your computer is set up to prompt you whenever it uses dial-up networking, you will see
the same prompt when you start KG2.
If you want to discontinue dial-up prompting, follow these steps: 

   1.Double-click on the My Computer icon. 
   2.In the My Computer window, double-click on the Dial-Up Networking icon. 
   3.From the main menu, choose Connections -> Settings. 
   4.Click on Don't prompt to use Dial-Up Networking.

Microsoft Windows NT
--------------------

Use these instructions to install TCP/IP on a Windows NT standalone machine. These
instructions describe one method of installation; there are others that work as well. 

   To install TCP/IP on a Standalone System: 

   1.In the Main window, double-click on the Control Panel icon. 
   2.In the Control Panel, double-click on the Network icon. 
   3.Click Yes when prompted whether to install networking. This starts the Windows NT Setup
   program. 4.In the Window NT Setup dialog box, type the path of the Windows NT
   distribution files. 5.In the Network Adapter Card Detection dialog box, click Do Not
   Detect. 6.In the Network Adapter Card Detection dialog box, click Continue. 7.In the
   Windows NT TCP/IP Installation Options dialog box, click Continue. 8.In the Add Network
   Adapter dialog box, choose MS Loopback Adapter from the Network Adapter Card list.
     Click Continue. 
   9.In MS Loopback Adapter Card Setup dialog box, click Continue to accept the default
   value. 
  10.In the Windows NT Setup dialog box, make sure that the TCP/IP Transport item is
  selected and click Continue. 11.In the Windows NT TCP/IP Installation Options dialog box,
  make sure that the Connectivity Utilities item is selected
     and click Continue. 
  12.In the Network Settings dialog box, click OK. 
  13.In the TCP/IP Configuration dialog box: 
        1.In the IP Address field, type: 1.1.1.1 
        2.In the Subnet Mask field, type: 255.0.0.0 
        3.Click OK. 
  14.In the Domain/Workgroup Settings dialog box, click OK. 
  15.Click Restart to restart the system and make the changes effective.
