***************************************************************************

PLEASE NOTE:
***********
For detailed information on all of ICER's settings and options, see the
readme.htm provided with the ICE Bot in your quake2\ice folder.
There is a lengthy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section in the
aformentioned file which addresses ICER issues as well as ICE troubleshooting.

DESCRIPTION
===========
ICER is a launcher for the ICE bot (see web site above).
All of the ICE Bot features can be set using ICER.

Requirements:
	Complete installation of the ICE Bot, version 1.0 or later.
	ICER currently runs only on the Win95/98/NT platforms.

INSTALLATION
============
Unzip the files contained in ICER_xxxx.zip into your Quake2 directory.
You MUST RESTORE PATHNAMES.
(Winzip users select the "Use Folder Names" option when extracting.
PKunzip users use the -d option.)
After extracting, confirm successful installation by checking for the
existence of the "ICE\ICER" folder within your Quake2 directory.

STARTING THE LAUNCHER
=====================
Start ICER by creating a shortcut to or double clicking the ICER.EXE
file in the quake2\ice\icer folder.
When running ICER for the first time, you will be prompted for some setup
information. You MUST provide your quake2 directory in order for ICER to
function properly (usually c:\quake2).
After launching ICER, click on the HELP button for information on basic
setup.

HINTS
=====
For a successful ICE bot session, you should always provide ICER with the
following:

No.	PAGE			TOPIC			COMMENT
1	Main setup Provide your Q2
							folder and Player
							name
2	Main map Every game requires
							a map setting
3	Bot Options game mode Choose DM, Random,
							CTF or Teamplay

The most important thing to remember is that setting BOT OPTIONS is the LAST
thing you should do before launching the ICE Bot. This is because ICER
creates several files in order to launch Quake2 ICE and then load the bots
into the game. These files are updated by the BOT OPTIONS screen.

ICER optionally accesses and alters a number of YOUR files in the ice folder.
Backing up these files may be a good idea:

readme.txt/htm
bots.cfg
maps.cfg
autoexec.cfg
chat.cfg

Many of the ICE Bot commands can be found on the bot options page of the ICER
Launcher. For information on what these commands do, or how they work, see the
ICE readme.txt in your quake2\ice folder.

For guidance on adding and removing players from your session, click the "How
do I setup the players" button at the top left of the Bot Options page.
