These executables are Solaris versions of their DOS
command line counterparts. They work in a very similar
fashion.

You must first create a .map using one of the various
editors available (QOOLE, WORLDCRAFT, or QERADIANT) on your
Windows PC. And then compile the final .bsp using these
tools on your Solaris machine.

For those of you unfamiliar with what each executable
does:

qbsp3 - partitions the map into smaller brushes
qrad3 - works out the lighting
qvis3 - works out which part of the map are visible from
        other parts of the map

Use them the way you would use the DOS versions at the
command line, and you should be fine.

This is an UNSUPPORTED release. If you find a bug, please
let me know, but please do not mail me asking me how to
use these tools.

Quake and Quake 2 are Copyright id software.
