(1) Introduction

(1.1) What's Beyond Belief Lite?

Beyond Belief Lite is a movie by Evan Wagner and Gunnar Andr Mo of
Matthias Worch's awesome Beyond Belief episode for Quake. We go through
Beyond Belief as fast as possible on easy skill. You can get Beyond
Belief at http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/7766

(1.2) Installation Instructions

Unzip bblite.zip into your beyond belief directory. Then start up Quake
with Beyond Belief as you normaly would and the movie will start by
itself. If you alwready have Speed Beyond Belief (by QDQ) in that
directory than move that pak file into another directory for the time
being.

If you would only like to view one of the demos you may do so by typing
"playdemo bbeliefxx" (xx is the level number).

(1.3) Credits

The people who created Beyond Belief Lite are:

Running and support =)

Justin Fleck

<rjfleck@linkup.net>
Runner of bb2

The utilities we used included:

1. Lmpc
A program by Uwe Girlich that extracts a demo file into an
editible lmp format. Go here for more information on Lmpc
http://www.planetquake.com/demospecs/

2. Demtool
A program that allows you to input special things into demos such as
the blood trail, connecting demos, color changing, etc. Also it aids in
outputing a cfg file so you can continue the next level with the stats
you had from the last one.

3. QdqStats
A nice little internal Quake program that allows you to continue a
level with the stats you had from the last one, a grenade counter to
time those grenade jumps just right, a counter that will give you an
accurate time on of a speed run, and a whole lot more.

4. ReMaic
A miracle program that gives you the ability to refilm demos from a 3rd
person perspective. Dont know what I would do without it =P.

5. Demorelease
A miracle program that will take the stats of the last demo and put
them in the next one. We needed this for bb2 because Justin got a
better time right after we did all the other levels so this was
helpfull beyond belief!

There are others that we used but they are all found at
http://www.planetquake.com/qdq

(2) More details about the movie

(2.1) How the run was recorded

Each demo was recorded on skill 0 (Easy skill) without using any cheats
or server commands such as sv_gravity or sv_maxspeed. We used a patch
called Qdqstats to give us an accurate time on each level and for
statistic reasons.

(2.3) How the run was made into a movie

The utility to refilm demos from a camera perspective is ReMaic
<http://PlanetQuake.com/ReMaic/>. Some of the models from the DeathMatch
Extension mod <http://Razor.Stomped.com> were used and patch in with a utility
written by Stefan Schwoon, to show which weapon the player is holding.

If you would like to watch the special extension pack which will allow
you to watch BBLite without any production effects they can be found
off of the BBLite page (http://www.halcyon.com/draven/bblite

(5) Special Thanks to:

The Quake Done Quicker team who also did this on Nightmare skill
Matthias Worch who created Beyond Belief
(my bud)NoA-Simon who discovered the arch jump in bb2 :)
Also a big thanks to Stefan Schwoon who helped us with editing
And Anthony Bailey who gave me some feedback aswell
Oh ya and Matthias Worch once again for beta testing (watching) this

(6) Final Note(s)

Sorry everyone about the late release (very late). The reason is we
had someone who said they would film bb3 but did'nt. Well after a month
and a half of waiting I finally just did it myself. Anyways once again
D&M's projects wont be this late again!
