Q2:GENERATIONS--THE MOVIE (PREVIEW)

Greetings! If you are reading this, it means that you have download this file and, most likely, you probably heard about my project. I am currently creating a movie, using the Quake 2 engine, based around the current Quake 2 Mod "Generations." My movie centers around the basic idea of bringing the Quake 2 Marine, the QuakeGuy, the Doom Marine, and B.J. Blazcowicz (from Wolf3D) together; however, for cinematic purposes, my movie will have a slightly different plot than the mod's story. (For one thing, I can't genetically clone heroes with my knowledge of Quake 2!)

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, and/or you would like to see, this short demo is for you. It's about 1.5 MB, but consider the fact that it includes a small yet detailed level, a recammed demo, a new console, and about 30-45 seconds of solid, high-quality audio, and you see where the data goes.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Just unzip the .ZIP file into your Quake2 directory, making sure to expand folders. This puts all 3 files in the genmovie folder under Quake2. (If it doesn't do it, do it manually.) Then, simply run the GENMOV.BAT file in the folder.

Give me plenty of feedback on this! Your responses may very well determine if I complete this project. I've only spent about 2 hours on this demo (during which I came to love KeyGrip2--a kick-ass program if ever I've seen one) so the fire's still there, for now. Your support (or flaming) of this demo will help decide which way it goes.

By the way, I'd like to thank the entire Generations crew for giving me the inspiration to start out in the Quake 2 movie field. I'd also like to thank id for the glory that is Quake 2, and the entire Quake 2 community for having the same goals as I have: to blow each other into tiny digital chunks.
