Darquo's Voodoo torture tweaker test
8/5/99

**I take no responsibility for those of you who do not know what the hell you are doing. Also, I have not modified either of the files listed below. They are written by 3dfx and Metabyte and they deserve all the props..I'm just a messenger**

Contained in this folder are two files
Opengl32.dll--3dfx Q3 compatible OpenGL ICD v1.0.0.0442
3dfxgl.dll--Metabyte Q2 MiniGL v4.00

Just copy these files to the root of your Quake2 or Kingpin directories, and make sure to back up the old files.

Both of these files worked great on my system:
PII 400, 160MB SDRAM, Creative Labs Voodoo Blaster Banshee.

Glide Versions used (taken from latest 3dfx Voodoo3 drivers):
Glide2x.dll--2.61.00.0437
Glide3x.dll--3.10.00.0435

Timedemos ran at 1024x768 resolution with best visual cfg files:

		 Kingpin					Quake II
Demo=		 Poison.dm2					Massive1.dm2
3dfxgl v1.48=	 54.8 seconds / 22.8 FPS			162.2 Seconds / 26.8 FPS
3dfx Opengl ICD= 55.5 Seconds / 22.4 FPS			166.4 Seconds  / 26.1 FPS
Metabyte MiniGL= 45.9 Seconds / 27.2 FPS			124.4 Seconds / 34.9 FPS

Now, obviously the Metabyte MiniGL kicked some serious ass in both timedemos. I would assume similar results for Voodoo3 owners, but I cannot guarantee anything (note that I am using V3 Glide dlls). Also, I do not work for Metabyte or have any affiliation with them or 3dfx. I'm just a stickler for performance. I would be interested to see others results, and obviously you've got enough free time cuz you're sittin' or your ass right now reading this. Let me know the results.

Good Luck and all that shit on a stick!
