Contents.textures:
Many of the textures found within are originals created by myself in Adobe Photoshop.
Several, however, are derivatives of textures by id, to which I cannot claim
authorship. Most of these latter textures I retained the same name as the original, but
inserted a prefix of my own to the name. Some, like those found in textures/proto, I
didn't change at all, but as they were part of the textures that came with the mapping
tools (and not with the game), I renamed them and included them in this pak file to
avoid problems with missing textures for those that don't have the mapping tools.
In the shmitz_tex directory, marble01, wall01, wall02, wall05, and wall06 are derivative
works. In sctf_tex, sctf_atchung_clang, sctf_bluemetal2_blue (and red), sctf_jaildr1_3,
and sctf_jaildr1_3.blend are derivative, and sctf_patch10rusty5 is an original, renamed.
The stuff in proto and base_wall are id's also. Everything else is 100% Shmitz =)

All maps should be loadable through the menus when starting a server.
Two config files for starting servers are included (one for deathmatch, one for
capture the flag). These are sdm.cfg and sctf.cfg.

========================================================================================
Map Name: SDM1: Haste Makes Waste
File Name(s): q3sdm1.bsp
Author: Mark "Shmitz" Major
E-mail: shmitz@strategyplanet.com
Compiler: Q3 Radiant
Game Type: Deathmatch
Players: 2-4 recommended.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments: This is my first deathmatch map for q3a, and only my second map using
q3radiant, so I'm still getting used to available textures and the
interface of the editor. Still, I'm pretty happy about the way the map
turned out. The usual compliment of weapons are available, minus BFG or
the lightning gun. The two powerups are the MegaHealth and the Haste
artifact. There's lava, but you don't have to worry about falling in.
There is, unfortunately, no real consistent theme for the map, but
hopefully if I've done my job right you'll be too busy fragging to
                 notice =)

Map Name: SDM2: Color Me Gibbed
File Name(s): q3sdm2.bsp
Author: Mark "Shmitz" Major
E-mail: shmitz@strategyplanet.com
Compiler: Q3 Radiant
Game Type: Deathmatch
Players: 2-4 recommended.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments: My second deathmatch map for q3a, this one came out a little better
as far as architecture and consistent texturing. Quad is in there, as
well as grenade launcher, rocket launcher, rail gun, and plasma gun.
I also used some custom textures of my own in there. Hope you all enjoy =)

File Name(s): q3sdm3.bsp

Compiler: Q3 Radiant
Game Type: Deathmatch
Players: 1 vs 1 strongly recommended, but can support 3 or 4

Comments: All those space maps out there have always, in some way, reminded me of
that one scene in "The Neverending Story" towards the end where the
Nothing has pretty much obliterated the world and there's only pits of
land floating here and there, suspended as it were, in nothing. So, my
first (and probably last, given the compile times), reflects these
subconcious musings. It's essencially a large open complex, and a
smaller, white platform (my homage to the Ivory Tower) containing the
rail gun. I will pause here to say that, like most space maps, you will
probably want this weapon =). There's two floors to the larger complex.
The lower floor consists of open air platforms and smaller pathways
around the perimeter, with one larger room inside that has the
megahealth and a back way over to the rail gun platform. Upstairs is
the Tube, where the red armor and the rocket launcher can be found. This
is where most of the action will be. You can get up there either from
the stairs on the side of the complex, a jump pad at the rear of the
complex, or the jumppad on the white platform. Weapons included are
the grenade launcher, rocket launcher, plasma gun, and of course,
                 the rail gun.

Comments: The finest in maximum security prisons has had a bit of a breakdown,
and now all the inmates are running around fragging each other. The
guards have long since abandoned the facility, fearing for their lives,
and now it just you, those other smelly guys over there, and a heap of
                 trouble =)

There's too much to this map to give a detailed description, but I
will mention the little switch in the "Execution Chamber" that will
give a little suprise to anybody who happens to be going for the BFG at
                 that moment.

File Name(s): q3sdm5.pk3

Players: 2-6 players
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments: A remake of one of my favorite q2 maps that saw much action as a DM map
a CTF map, and a RA2 map, this one I've discovered translates very well
to q3a. So load up and enjoy =)

Map Name: SCTF1: Feud Aflame
File Name(s): q3sctf1.bsp
Author: Mark "Shmitz" Major
E-mail: shmitz@strategyplanet.com
Compiler: Q3 Radiant
Game Type: Deathmatch
Players: 4-12 players
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments: Two houses that had once been friends, now at war. There is a bridge
connecting both forts, but someone must step on the trigger at the
rocket launcher in order to trigger the doors opening, so to use it
as a shortcut (or to grab the quad) requires a bit of coordination.
All the weapons are present save the BFG.

Map Name: SCTF2: Green Envy
File Name(s): q3sctf2.bsp
Author: Mark "Shmitz" Major
E-mail: shmitz@strategyplanet.com
Compiler: Q3 Radiant
Game Type: Deathmatch
Players: 4-12 players
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments: This is a large two-leveled complex, filled with green tile, green
metal, and green plastering. Perhaps it was a convention center,
perhaps a future hotel, maybe just the beginnings of a department
store, but forces of war have turned it into a battle grounds between
                 two teams.

Map Name: SCTF3: Twin Generators Reborn
File Name(s): q3sctf3.bsp
Author: Mark "Shmitz" Major
E-mail: shmitz@strategyplanet.com
Compiler: Q3 Radiant
Game Type: Deathmatch
Players: 4-12 players
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments: A conversion of a remake that was converted, so a remake of a
conver, well, nevermind. If you played Twin Generators for q2ctf and
lmctf, you will be familiar with the layout of this map. To compensate
for the lack of a grapple in the main verticle chamber I have included
the flight artifact at the bottom in the generator rooms.
