UR #34 took on GZ #28 on OGL open ctf ladder. The match was to be played
on capture showdown. As everyone knows this map is all about tech control.
UR started with the tech advantage, they had amp and doc, leaving GZ with
accel and shield. <UR>Apache and <UR>Lord Bao set the tone to the match with
2 quick caps giving UR a 2-0 lead. [GZ]Stiffie responded with a cap of
his own and in the process secured doc leaving UR with the amp/shield. The shield
was lost to amp early in the game. It looks like GZ went for the 3-man defense
but that extra man d wasn't helping things as UR managed to slip out and cap a few
times with great grapple moves.

With the score 5-1, things were looking grim for GZ. At T-17 [GZ]Lupus almost took out
amped <UR>B00N on a desperate assault. Then 2 things happened: UR capped and <UR>Apache
got hold of the time accel. With no techs left and 16 mins to go GZ was doomed. Then
UR's offense went crazy on a capping spree. With <UR>B00N holding base tight with rail
and amp, the result was ugly. GZ's defense broke apart and they couldnt recover until
the end. [GZ]Lupus managed to slip out with the flag resulting in a short stand-off
at T-5 but the issue of the match was already sealed. The game ending in a blow-out.

Best player of the game goes to <UR>B00N for his accurate rail amp that prevented GZ
from touching the flag. Remember offense gets the glory but defense wins the game.

Props also goes to <UR>Lord Bao and <UR>Apache for fast cap runs and successful combined
attacks.
