Installation Instructions
-------------------------
Place the pak file in your quake2\baseq2\ directory.

As of 3.12, quake2 supports non linear pakfile names.

pak0.pak - id Quake 2 base.
pak1.pak - id Quake 2 point release.
pak2.pak - id DM map Match1
pak3 - 8.pak  - {anything that might show up later}
pak9.pak - GurkoZ Productions Quake 2 Enhancement.

When you place this pak in your baseq2\ directory, quake2 can access it
in all "games" you run. Like CTF or other modifications.

But for MAX CTF compatibility, I recommend placing a copy in your
quake2\ctf\ directory also. this will guarantee that CTF skins take hold.

Exxtreme PAK
Updated 06/04/98
Added 3.15 Vwep animations
Removed sounds that were 'objectionable' (some sounds just didnt fit)

PURPOSE:

The idea here is not my own. Yes I admit it. I am a hack. What I have done is try to combine
everything needed to play the best DM and CTF possible.

What I have incorperated:
High color CTF skins for all id player models (male/female/cyborg/crackwhore)
Vwep support for id player models
Custom sound files for weapons and pickup items

**High color skins
You may have noticed, if you play CTF2, that sometimes the skins are hard to see at a
distance. Also some players like to use the Cyborg or Crackwhore models, but all you see
is a plain grey grunt skin. You find yourself wasteing good ammo on the wrong person.

I have done my best to locate the best set of CTF skins I could find for Q2. There may
be better skins available, for one particular model or the other, but these are the best
as a set.

Crackwhore skins by Yakumo yakumo@babylon5fan.com

I have tried my hardest to locate the names/e-mails of the skin artists that created
these. If you know who made these, please send that info so I can include that info and
give these people credit.

**Vwep Support
View weapons is the non-mod mod ever. Quake 2 was designed to allow players to see what
weapon the other players were holding. It was never implemented by id.

Here comes Hentai on the scene. He figured out how to do what id didn't give us. The
problem with his mod is: IT'S HUGE. Im sure there is a better way to do it, but hey it's
working, so we will deal with it.

The way it works is, it requires you to have a copy of every weapon model in every player
folder. I have added all these models into the PAK file for the four id models. This should
just make it easy on the people that don't already have Vwep support.
Visit his site, just to be nice =)

**Custom Sounds
The sound files used in this PAK were the biggest reason I made this version of the pakfile.
Originally found in Gurkoz PAK mod, I saw the use for modified pak files.
The Gurkoz PAK had quite a few mods that I did not find useful in multiplay. Basically this
PAK is originally the Gurkoz file stripped of single player features, and the CTF skins and
Vwep added.

This guy really has a great imagination, and has done some great things, but due to the
sheer size of some of the addons, they had to be cut out for net play. We all know how much
memory wav. files use. And I would rather give that to Quake2 render engine.
