WARNING: This file is slightly obsolete with the introduction of BOP v0.92!
As long as you use the BOPCONFIG program included in this archive, you really
don't need to worry about this file. Sorry, but my time is limited and I
can't update everything. --Matt

New client-side command with BOP v0.90!

bophelp This will bring up a menu giving instructions on how BOP
works. This is great for newbies who log on and ask
"So what does this mod do?" Now all you have to do is tell
them, "Just type bophelp" and they'll get the scoop.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
A list of server-side commands available for the Balance of Power mod:

NOTE: All of these commands can be put in the bop.ini file. Simply take off
the leading "sv". There are examples of almost all of these commands in the
sample bop.cfg file.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

sv nobophelp (New with v0.91)
1 - Clients cannot access any bophelp menu
0 - Bophelp menu is available (default)

sv gamemode (New with v0.90)
Gamemode of 0 means a Normal Game
Gamemode of 1 means an Expert Game (minimal lag bonuses)
Gamemode of 2 means a Tournament Game (no lag bonuses)

sv pingmax (New with v0.92) Important!
sv pingmin

With v0.92 I have added two new server variables. "Pingmax"
and "pingmin". These define what an HPB is. The
BOPCONFIG program included in this archive is designed to
make setting up these values easy. I highly recommend you
use that program to set up these values. If you still feel
you don't understand how it works, please don't hesitate
                to email me (bop@planetquake.com).

sv laginvisible This makes the mod mostly invisible to clients. They will
be notified at the beginning of the game that it's running.
No blue or red flashing effects or lag sickness messages will
                show up with this set.

sv laghelp_str Default 0.15. This is how much strength bonus lagged players
receive. The higher the number, the more powerful high
pingers are. Setting this too high (1 or above for example)
is a good way to make LPB's really mad and never play on your
server again <grin>. Setting this to 0 disables the
In-Game Lag Compensation feature. (A reason to do this would
be to use BOP only for "phone jack protection").

sv laghelp_rst Same as laghelp_str except is used for resistance bonuses

sv lagbare This is how many seconds a lagged user cannot receive lag-pent
                again after receiving it.
Default is 60 seconds. So if a lagged user gets lag-pent,
they can't get it again for 60 seconds. If they've got a
really bad line, they're in trouble =).

sv lagsick Lag sickness is a condition that afflicts people who are
recovering from lag-pent. It means they cannot fire any
weapons. Default value is 10 seconds. So once your lag-pent
wears off, you cannot use any weapons for 10 seconds after
                that.

sv lagpent Lagpent is how long your free-pent lasts after your ping gets
back within normal limits. Default value is 10 seconds.
So after the phone jack symbol disappears and you start to
hear sound again, you have roughly 10 seconds of invincibility
                before you are Fresh Meat.

sv lagpeak Lagpeak is how high your ping needs to be for you to earn
a free lag-pent. Default value is 999. If you crank this
up ridiculously high, you are in effect disabling this feature.

sv lagsuicide Lagsuicide has no parameters and is toggled on or off.
Lagsuicide determines whether a lagged player gets resistence
adjustment if he accidentally shoots himself. Default is OFF.
So, if this is turned on, and a really lagged player blasts
the wall with his rocket, he won't take as much damage as
an LPB blasting himself with a rocket.

sv lagslag Lagslag has no parameters and is toggled on or off.
Lagslag determines whether a lagged player gets resistence
from non-player damage (slag, acid, falling). Default is
OFF. So, if this is turned on, a really lagged player will
take reduced damage if he falls in slag or falls off a cliff.

sv lagverbose Lagverbose has no parameters and is toggled on or off.
If Lagverbose is ON, everyone will get lots of messages
telling them how much their damage and resistence is being
                adjusted by.
Warning: Weapons such as the chaingun generate lots of damage
reports and can flood the players, forcing a server reset.
It is advised that you only use explosive weapons when using
                lagverbose.
