Description:
Based on J. R. R. Tolkien's trilogy of the same name. The scenarios correspond to the books, "The Fellowship Of The Ring", "The Two Towers", and "The Return Of The King." In the first scenario, the Fellowship must gather in the elven town of Rivendell, evading (or fighting) Orcs and evil Nazgul along the way, then fight their way through the Mines of Moria and get safely to Lorien. In the second scenario, the Fellowship is scattered and everyone has things to do and places to go. Frodo and Sam must make their way to Cirith-Ungol, Merry and Pippin meet the Ents and travel to Isengard and Rohan, Gandalf has several jobs to do, Saruman (traitorous wizard) must be defeated, etc. In the third scenario, Sam must rescue Frodo from Cirith-Ungol so they can proceed to the Pits of Doom to destroy the One Ring, while the others prepare for the Last Battle with the forces of Sauron, a vital part of which is Aragorn riding the Paths of the Dead to locate reinforcements essential to the defense of Minas Tirith. And no, you don't have to drag any stupid artifacts all over the maps. Scenario 1 requires survival skills, Scenario 2 is a "multi-tasker", i.e., multiple victory conditions, and Scenario 3 uses survival and wise use of your military. Enjoy:")

Revisions as of 12/2/98:
- Scn 1: Moved Balrog so Orcs are less likely to kill it before you get there
- Scn 3: Revised bitmap, modified mordor ai to produce HCs, fixed mordor resources problem so it should never stop attacking Minas Tirith
