Tricklet(1) USER COMMANDS Tricklet(1)

NAME
     npspook - Tricklet OS/2 named-pipe daemon

SYNOPSIS
     npspook <host> [ <community> <medium> <timeout> <retries>
     <port> ]

DESCRIPTION
_n_p_s_p_o_o_k is a named-pipe program that is meant to be started
once and never to be stopped. During its life, it will
accept opens to it's pipe '\pipe\spook\161' and will handle
Tricklet commands received through its pipes. _n_p_s_p_o_o_k is
capable to handle multiple active pipes.
At the moment, only a perl interface is available for
npspook. This interface consists of two perl libraries
(spook.pl and collector.pl). These libraries can be used by
a standard perl executable, no patches are needed. See the
perl libraries for examples and the perl API.
The commands accepted by npspook are described in the manual
page of stdspook. _n_p_s_p_o_o_k and _s_t_d_s_p_o_o_k are twin brothers,
the first gets its commands through a named pipe, the latter
     through a stdin/stdout interface.
