Welcome to the IPF Editor 2.1 Demonstration.  This is a limited trial usage
demonstration version of the best selling IPF Editor for OS/2 2.x and OS/2
Warp 3.x.  Using it you can quickly develop complex documents and context
sensitive help for your OS/2 Applications.  In addition you can even
create online documentation that is compatible with IBM PC-DOS 7.0.

The commercial version of the IPF Editor 2.1 has even more features than

Demonstration Requirements
=============================================================================
To run this demonstration you must have:

* IBM Compatible PC running OS/2 2.1x or OS/2 Warp 3.x.

* 8 MB of RAM (12MB recommended if logged into a network)

* 2.5MB disk space.

* Full Access rights to the drive where it will be installed.

* Super-VGA (800 x 600 or higher) resolution display recommended. VGA required.

* Mouse highly recommended.

* IBM OS/2 Warp or 2.x toolkit's IPF Compiler installed on the computer.  This
  is available from the IBM Developer Connection CD-ROM's.

Demonstration Installation

To install, simply type "INSTALL" from the subdirectory containing the
IPF Editor demonstration files.

If you are installing this demonstration on a network be sure that
you have full rights to create directories and files, copy files,
and delete files before trying to install.

Uninstallation
=============================================================================

To uninstall this demonstration run UNINSTAL.CMD from the installation
directory (on your CD-ROM or temporary directory if downloaded from our
Web Site).  This will remove the \IPFE2DEM directory and remove the
desktop folder and some of the changes made to your CONFIG.SYS.  You will
need to manually edit your CONFIG.SYS to remove the changes made to
the PATH, DPATH, LIBPATH, HELP, and BOOKSHELF statements.

Demonstration Limitations
=============================================================================

If you are using OS/2 2.x Pickup and Drop support is disabled automatically.

This trial usage version lets you execute the IPF Editor on a single
PC for up to 30 usages.  Usage beyond that constitutes a violation of the
evaluation license agreement.

This demonstration version of the IPF Editor 2.1 has several limitations
which are noted when you attempt various functions.  Import functions,
RC file generation, maximum number of panels, automatic hypertext linking,
and spell checking have been either limited or disabled in this version.
In addition, the Voice Support functions have been disabled.  A working
sample of a document that contains voice and music has been included,
however.  If you try to modify the size and location of a document using
the Document Profile page you can mark it but the actual display of the
document will be unchanged.
