First Look
----------

	Hi,

Here is Daniel Caetano. I'm a brazilian user of OS/2 and I
become concerned with Creative Labs' decision to stop supporting
OS/2, but once the last (and I mean *the last ones*) drivers are
working fine under OS/2, there is no reason for killing myself.

	Well... What is this "package"?
This package is a "union" for FOUR packages that Creative
labs distributed, but the FOUR have problems on its instalations.
So, I decided to eliminate the problems on instalation and try to
 make it easy, too.

Well, I hope you all enjoy that, because I think this is
the last time that we will see something from Creative for OS/2!

And YES! This is REAL. The support for AWE32 of this version
*WORKS* with all AWE64 Cards on the market up today (24/02/1998).

Therefore, I make no guaratees that this will work on your
machine, since I tested only on the three I have in my house...
Well, it worked well on the three... (-: But, if you find ANY
bug on the install, let me know by my e-mail:

		Thanks!

Installation
------------

First unzip the archive into a temporary path (I believe you already
do that, once you are reading this readme).

The install is the easy as possible. Run the program INSTALL.CMD
with the parameter (drive letter where MMPM/2 is installed), by example:

	INSTALL C:

and READ all information that appear on the screen WHEN IT STOPS.
The install processes requires atention and caution of the selections on
the 'Creative's Part' of the install (the PM ones).

At the end of the process, DO NOT shutdown. READ the last
information that appears at the end of the process of "INSTALL.CMD"...
It will teach you how to change the CONFIG.SYS for TWO reasons:

	- THE FIRST:
To avoid that your system HANGS on the next boot.

	- THE SECOND:
To provide you the hability to play with the same device under
DOS/WinOS2 and OS/2 (you can play a MIDI on DOS and at the same
time you can play OTHER on the OS/2!)

Pay atention at this points, they are very important.

History
-------

- 1.1 Second Public Release

  * Bug fixed on AWE Control Panel (it was not working on v1.0)
(sorry people. Thanks to Nicholla Solano for the bug report).
+ A better Command Line Install... More comprehensive.

- 1.0 First Public Release

Support
-------

Once Creative Labs cannot support OS/2, neither do I, BUT you
CAN send me bug reports on problems with the INSTALL process. If possible
 I will solve the problem.

In the future I'm planing do the manual part of the process (changing
the config.sys) automatic, but, hey, don't wait for this. If you think
this is important, send-me an e-mail asking.

All programmers LOVE feedback, and I'm no exception... If you have
nothing to say, say only "I use your Sound Blaster Install program"...

My e-mail is open for everybody.

	Thanks again,

			Daniel Jorge Caetano.
