XactPro 7 Demo
Version for OS/2

Limitations due to Demo:
------------------------
Export and printing: The number of graphical objects is limited.

Dear customer,

this is the first release of XactPro 7 in english language.
We wish you having some fun browsing through Xact's features
and would be happy for any hints you can give us regarding the
software (bugs!) and the translation (xact_engl@scilab.de).

Getting used to a new software always takes some time. You'll be
definitly faster by first starting to read 'Xact in brief' in the
Online-help. You can open the Online-help in the Menu 'Windows'.

We would be glad for any comments you have - just send an email to:
xact_engl@scilab.de

While this is XactPro 7, you may be interested in the cheaper Xact 7.
This is what you get with XactPro, but not in Xact:
- Chart-type 'Change Object Styles'
- Entry 'List object names' in the menu 'Object' of a graphics window
- Import filter for Shape-files (*.SHP) to import Maps
- CMYK-colors
- Saving file-lists to print, export and copy graphic files
- Entry 'Copy files' in menu 'File' (Dialog for copy/move of graphic files
  and their linked tables

General hints:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- DB2/2 (*):
DB2 modifies the file CONFIG.SYS inserting these two RUN-statements:
  RUN ...\WEPM.EXE
  RUN ...\WEPMROOT.EXE
As a consequence, printing and exporting OS/2-Metafiles (*) sometimes does
not work. This is a OS/2-bug (*). You can help yourself: Copy the RUN-statements
to STARTUP.CMD and delete it in CONFIG.SYS.

- Using Xact in networks: You have to use the "Network"-version of Xact.
The environment XACTCFG determines, where Xact reads and writes its
(sessionspecific) configuration-files. The environment XACTTMP determines,
where Xact reads and writes its temporary files. Both should be set to a
  local disk to reduce network-traffic.
