                          BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PATCH
                          ============================

The operation of this patch file is fairly straightforward.  There are only a
few operations that you need to follow.

  Your copy of Secret Agent v1.0 is currently installed.  This patch file 
   will do nothing if you do not currently have your game installed.  If 
   you do not, you should make sure your copy is on your hard drive and 
   installed before beginning the patch procedure.

  It is VITAL that you install the patch to exactly the same directory as 
   the registered copy is installed it.  It is strongly recommended that 
   this patch either be installed from a floppy disk, or from a 
   subdirectory on your hard drive that has nothing else in it besides 
   these installation files.

  To patch your copy of Secret Agent, you need to change to the drive and 
   directory that the patch files reside in and enter "INSTALL".

  When the patch is finished running, it will delete itself, so you don't 
   need to worry about deleting the patch program and it's data file.

  The only change between v1.0 and v1.0a is a fix for a bug where if you
   were running under Windows XP, your system clock would be changed 
   backwards 100 years if the year was 2000 or over.  No other changes have 
   been made.

                                HAVING TROUBLE?
                                ===============

If you experience trouble, you should follow these steps to correct the
problem you are experiencing.

  a) Remove all copies of Secret Agent from your computer, including these 
     patch files.

  b) Install v1.0 from your original registered copy.

  c) If you obtained your patch from a BBS, then unpack the files into a
     different directory then Secret Agent is installed to and run the 
     patch from there.

  d) If you obtained your patch on a diskette directly from Apogee, run the
     patch from that diskette.

  NOTE: Either patch (BBS or disk) must be installed to the same directory
        that Secret Agent is currently installed to.

computer, and have it ready for assistance.  If you can't be at your 
computer, please have printouts of the following things available, so that 
we may assist you better.  It may be possible do provide technical support 
without these things, but it will be much more difficult.

The needed files are CONFIG.SYS & AUTOEXEC.BAT, plus what happens when you
execute the "MEM /C" command (or just MEM if you get an error using MEM 
/C).
